Fresh out of a local estate is this RCA radiola lll tube radio with wood case. I have no idea if it works or not. What you see is what you get. Measure 11 3/4″ by 6 3/4″ and fairly heavy. Owner said it was a very early radio. Looking at all the parts I believe there’s more to this find than just being a radio. There’s a motor, speaker, telegraph ticker. Amazing to look at in person. It looks to be in great condition except for the missing front grille. The tubes are in it and it appears to be complete. I have not tested this in any way. The Mahogany cabinet is in good condition also. There are a few small knicks here and there but overall shows well. I have taken photos all around so you can assess the condition for yourself. Early Philco 16B tombstone. 100% operational, no exceptions. The cabinet is finished as close to original as possible using correct materials. Completely tight and solid. New period Chevron style grill cloth. The speaker cone is in the perfect condition. The chassis has been completely restored, recapped and all out of range parts replaced. New period power cord and plug. The underside of the chassis photo is available upon request. The radio, having 2 IF stages, is extremely sensitive and operates great on all 5 bands – 4 SW and 1 BC having antenna attached. Noice suppression switch and potentiometer operate correctly, and so does the shadow meter. Controls operate smooth w/o any scratching noise. Dual speed tuning works flawlessly.
