The radio works however the volumn knob is hard to turn and only seems to work either on min or max. I think eventually it will have to be replaced. The wooden base has some slight damage that is shown in the photo. The chain reins are missing. Please ask me if you have any questions. I obtained about 80 tube radios from an estate sale. I will be listing these over the next few weeks so please see my other listings. This listing is for a RARE Silvertone. Brown marbled bakelite with SOLID COPPER dial plate. Condition: THE SOLID COPPER DIAL PLATE LOOKS GREAT. BOTH ORIGINAL MARBLED BAKELITE KNOBS ARE STILL THERE. The cord is in good shape with no exposed wire. The body is in good shape as seen in pictures. No cracks, scratches, or chips. The wood back is no longer with the radio. The insides will need some cleaning and have some rust. All of the tubes appear to be there. These radios are highly collectable and are getting harder to find online. Yes it works, powers on and warms up. Volume works and are able to bring channels in but there is a significant amount of background noise. Can tune in a few stations but the audio is garbled. Someone with a talent for repairing these radios could probably change one or two tubes and get this unit working perfectly but the basic unit does work.
