RARE VINTAGE LOT of 3 SPACE-AGE BULOVA COMET BOOMERANG TRANSISTOR RADIOS

RARE VINTAGE LOT of 3 SPACE-AGE BULOVA COMET BOOMERANG TRANSISTOR RADIOS. These splendid Bulova 620 radios were manufactured in the USA circa 1957 The BEIGE radio made some sound but I couldn’t tune in any solid stations. The TURQUOISE radio did play on a couple different channels. The RED radio did play on 2 different channels. One of the classic 1950s transistor radio designs Bulova’s own name, “Comet” describes the cabinet face well enough, and “parabola” would be the only term more accurate in description Somehow the’50s word “boomerang” has erroneously become stuck to this radio, and no matter how hard the Bulova Comet rejects the term, it just keeps coming back… Very nice as a display pieces It is an exquisite example of the art of transistor radio design. Bulova had their beginnings in 1875 when Joseph Bulova a 23 year old immigrant from Bohemia opened a small jewelry shop on Maiden Lane in New York City. In 1926 Bulova produced Americas first radio commercial and in 1928 they introduced the worlds first clock radio. Bulova radios were obviously aimed at the wealthy and affluent. These are beautiful designed radios All 3 radios still have the handle that serves as a stand and an antenna. These are hard radios to find in any condition. FROM THE 1950′s ERA. How good would these radios look in your collection! What a relief from the plain rectangular boxes other radios are always housed in. Please feel free to ask questions. 50s vintage Rock-Ola 1544 Fireball 120 Wallbox 1436 1438 Jukebox Comet

50s vintage Rock-Ola 1544 Fireball 120 Wallbox 1436 1438 Jukebox Comet

Rock-Ola 1544 120 selection wallbox. I don’t have the key but it looks to be in good condition, like someone put it on a shelf after taking it out of service and hasn’t messed with it since. It still has old title strips in all of the title boards. The chrome is pretty good with light pitting. Buttons are all excellent. The curved plexi dome is in good shape with no cracks and a nice original decal, there are some small scratches here and there. It will look better when you can open it up and clean the back side of the plexi. The lock number is 668. Local pick-up is fine or I’ll deliver to Chicagoland juke show in April or November for free! I will hold for 12 months for pick-up. Also, I will take vintage theater audio equipment in trade! If you have something, let me know. Tomorrow night (Thursday) I’ll be listing more wallboxes and lots of KD-200 parts as well! Be sure to take a look at my other listings, lots of nice Jukebox items up at NO RESERVE.
