PLEASE READ FURTHER DOWN ABOUT THIS COOL LOOKING RADIO. The Model Number on this Stunning Looking Radio is RBMU-175 & it was produced around the 1947 era. This was a popular radio when it was introduced in the1940′s. This is still a fairly popular & desirable radio by today’s standards. I have taken many pictures so you may get a good view at this WONDERFUL Looking Radio & it Plays. THIS VINTAGE WONDERFUL LOOKING SONORA RADIO JUST LOOKS OUTSTANDING TO SAY THE LEAST & IT PLAYS NICELY. The cabinet on this Beauty is made of. Plastic that has that has been cleaned & polished which still Produces a Super Nice sheen or shine & that shine just looks Great:> There are no cracks in the cabinet & it is Very NICE & SPECTACULAR looking (NOT PERFECT) as there are a couple of imperfections on the finish! The 2-Plastic control knob are in good Condition. The chassis is in good condition & it is a All American 5-tube unit with 2-controls & all controls have been lubricated & are in good working condition. The 2-controls are ON/OFF/VOLUME & TUNING. The tube line up is One-35W4, One-50B5, One-12BA6, One-12BE6 & One-12AT6. The chassis has had all new electrolytic capacitor/filters installed & All wax/paper capacitors were replaced & a Nice New Electric Cord was installed. This SONORA Radio has been restored to good working condition. Sized of this Fabulous GEM is 10-3/4″ Long, 6-1/2″ Wide/Deep & 7-1/4 High. This is a vintage radio & must be handled & cared for & treated in this manor & not like a modern day boombox. Tube radio technology “unlike modern day solid state radios” can have interference/noise in the sound quality, caused by kitchen appliances, computer monitors, flat screen TV’S, florescent lights, washing machines, high power wires above your home, etc… So where you position/place this radio in your home can make a huge difference & the direction/position it is set in. A lot of tube radios are “Directional” meaning you ” MAY ” have to turn the radio one way or the other to receive the best reception. Tube radio usually take 30 to 45 seconds after they have been turned/powered ON before they will start playing as the tubes have to warm up. I package very well for a safe arrival. This is a Sentinel Radio Model 345 Series A Vintage 1950s – Red – Bakelite? Body looks in good condition as well as interior. No cracks that I can see. Nice deep red color. I plugged in and turned on but couldn’t get any power. I don’t know if I needed another battery that connects to the inside wires?

Power cord is cut, so no means to test. All tubes are present. From the estate of a former electronics retail/repair store owner. Knobs and tuning push buttons are Bakelite. A true Art Deco icon from the pre-war era. The dial lights and tuning mechanism move smoothly, though there is background static, which may improve with a proper antenna or light servicing. The Bakelite cabinet is solid and glossy with no cracks or repairs. Original caramel-colored knobs and back panel are intact. Cord appears original and should be inspected before long-term use. A classic display and collector piece – one of Stromberg-Carlson’s most sculptural designs. Please note: these are vintage/antique items and may show age-related wear or small, hard-to-see flaws. I obtained about 80 tube radios from an estate sale. I will be listing these over the next few weeks so please see my other listings. This listing is for rare BF GOODRICH model 11-701. Factory painted ivory over bakelite. Condition: ALL FOUR KNOBS ARE STILL ON THE RADIO AND HAVENT BEEN LOST. The unit sits nice and flat with no wobble. The glass dial is in fantastic shape with no cracks or paint fade. The body paint has some wear as seen in pictures. The wood back is still there which is usually missing. No chips or cracks in the body. The top of the body has remnants of a sticker that will probably come off. The insides will most likely need cleaned. When plugged in you do hear a loud hum but I wasnt able to tune in a station…. Could be my country location. These radios are highly collectable and are getting harder to find online. This is a larger radio at 14.5″ x 9″ x 8. It will be protected well and insured. Let me know if you have questions. Location G3, FBMP, MER.
