Radio is clean and looks great. DIMENSIONS: Approximately 10″ x 6″ x 6 (l x w x h) 2 of the 5 bulbs light up but the three smaller do not. The radio makes sound and the volume works. Cabinet is original factory molded brown Bakelite. There is one small crack on the bottom left hand side as shown in picture six (barely noticeable but wanted to disclose). Radio is in great condition – no cracks / scratches no fading all original except for A/C cord is not original – male 2 prong plug and handle covering may be original unsure. Tubes and internals are in great condition – model specs on bottom have a portion missing observe pics. Radio measures 13″ x 8″ x 7 LWD. There is a crack in the left wall but unless the lights just right you probably wouldn’t notice it. It is a very nice radio for being over 75 years old. It is 13inch long x 8 inch tall x 7inch deep. Thanks for looking and check out my other auctions.
Vintage Astor Mickey Art Deco Tube Radio Brown Bakelite – FOR PARTS/REPAIR. This item is in used non-working condition. There are signs of wear and discoloration throughout due to use and aging. This item is for parts/repair only. The item turns on and hums very loudly. There is scratching/scuffing throughout the item. There is discoloration/wear throughout. The case has damage and there is a crack in the case (as shown in the photos). The case has wear/fading throughout the finish. There is dust/debris throughout the item. The item is missing screws throughout. The chassis is missing the screws that hold it into the case. The station display piece is cracked. The cloth speaker grille has staining/discoloration throughout. The tuning needle vibrates when the item is on making a loud sound. There is a crack/hole in the side grille on the case. Offered for your consideration, is this wonderful Bakelite Silvertone tube radio – model number 6CH132.881. It was manufactured in the mid 50′s. The radio has a very unique brass lattice work and shiny brass dial with red numbering It has been well taken care of not a break or crack. The Chocolate Bakelite case in near mint condition with only a few small scratches – it’s looking good. As with all my radios it is electrically fit – the tubes are strong, a ll of the original wax/paper capacitors have been replaced and the cord has been replaced with a polarized plug. Also featuring: nice body styling; original knobs – all work smoothly; an internal loop antenna; brass lattice grill and the dial is in very good condition – clean and clear. This is a 5-tube set. There is a working dial light. The original back is present. The measurements are: 11″ across, 6.5″ high and 6 wide. This set will definitely give years of good service. Every vintage tube radio I sell has been thoroughly serviced – tubes tested, components checked and then the unit is lubricated and cleaned inside and out. Item has scratches and imperfections on the top and sides that are difficult to see in the pictures. Unit has been tested and I was NOT able to tune to any stations. It turns on with little to no static.
