Vintage American Auto & Radio Mfg. American Beauty Radio that is in exceptional condition. Radio comes equipped with a Burgess 4 1/2 volt C battery and 2 Pilot By-Pass Condensers, and wiring. There is also another component that was found on the side of the interior that may be for the radio. Front panel is showing very little wear and all of the dials turn smoothly. All 5 tubes are present. Unfortunately, I have no way of testing this radio, but everything appears to be there to receive radio stations. Great looking radio that will be a fine addition to your collection. Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered. OFFERING A VERY RARE CARBON DOUBLE BUTTON MICROPHONE from the 1930′s, SPRING SUSPENDED ON HEAVE IRON BASE WITH CHROMED STEM. THE RING MEASURES 6 IN DIAMETER. THE BASE MEASURES 6. THE RING IS STAINLESS STEEL WITH 8 SPRINGS TO SUSPEND THE ELEMENT. THIS PIECE MEASURES 18′ TALL AT IT EXTENDED HEIGHT. Vintage Bendix Model 114 Polystyrene AM All American 5 Tube Radio

Vintage Bendix Deco Radio. Bendix 114 in Swirled Brown Polystyrene Art Deco Bendix Tube Radio made circa 1946. The model 114 shares the same design as the Catalin 526C version made by Bendix and it is an unusual design made of four pieces of Polystyrene. This radio is extremely stylish with the marbleized brown cabinet and contrasting tan front. This swirled brown with white and tan is a color seldom found in plastic radios. This radio has both a unique design and construction. The swirled brown top and sides are molded into one U-shaped piece that fits down over the tan piece which forms the front and base of the radio highlighted with its five streamline horizontal grooves that stretch across the front of the radio. The two rounded corner pieces that bolt onto either side of the dial are a unique feature unlike anything found on any other radio. Radio is in beautiful original condition and retains a beautiful natural gloss that shows off the marbleized color. The Polystyrene sections and trim are in very excellent original condition with no cracks, chips, or repairs. The cabinet has a tiny little spot on top- looks maybe ash from someone’s cig. It is less than 1/16. Can be seen in photo 5. The original gold and red dial plastic is also in perfect condition. Radio measures approximately 11″ Wide x 7″ High x 6 Deep. This is a very unique radio from the 1920′s that is very-very clean and has always been stored in a room temperature environment. There are no dings, dents or rust on the radio. There is a crack on the removable panel on the back. Measures approx 10 3/4 inches tall, 15 inches from side to side and 12 3/4 inches from front to back. I do not know how to test this radio as I believe it runs on some type of battery/ballast. There is a cord located on the back area that is frayed. Comes with the original manual. Comes from a smoke free and pet free environment. Again, this radio is very clean and a real beauty! There is some glare in the photos that could not be avoided.
