Old VTG Admiral Tube Radio Streamlined Art Deco 20A6 PreWar Plastic Plaskon Urea

Vintage 1939 Streamlined Art Deco Admiral Tube Radio 20-A6 Pre-War Plastic Plaskon Urea. The streamlined Art Deco case. Is not bakelite but made of an unknown plastic. And could be Urea or Plaskon with a swirl and depth of colors not found on the darker colors. This cream color case is a very hard to find and. Scarce for this particular Admiral model. The dial is surrounded by a handsome brass bezel and the light shines nicely on the face while showing through the. Almost translucent plastics cream colored cabinet. In outstanding condition the case has some micro cracks above dial and on top they are very hard to see. And do not detract from the beauty. Of this vintage cabinet. Cracks seen on the bottom underside of the cabinet do not affect the integrity of this case. Carefully repaired to bring it back to excellent working condition. New wiring has replaced many of the old cracked insulated wires. Also a new old stock cap and 2 new replacement caps installed to bring this back to original specs. All 6 tubes tested very good or replaced with very good tested tubes. This is a very clean chassis please see photos for details of work. New rubber feet have been added to protect surfaces from chassis bolts. The original back was missing so a new vented back fashioned of. Admiral Model A-31 Antique Wood Cabinet AM / SW Tube Radio From 1936 Vintage Old

Antique Admiral shortwave radio measures 15 inches long x 8 3/4 inches tall x 7 inches deep. Radio hums and has some static. Knob on right is not the original knob, but that is what came with it. The speaker cover is missing and it looks like somebody painted the wood where the speaker is black. I do not see where there is a model number, but I found on internet where it is A-31 and 1936. The only marking is Admiral which is on front. Would make a nice project to get working. Wood box has minor ding and blemishes, not bad for the age. Vintage Admiral Radio Phonograph Record Player Model 6S12N Art Deco. Beautiful Admiral Radio Phonograph. Case is in wonderful shape. Radio works as it should. Phonograph needs a couple of small belts (and maybe more). Case has some white specs on it (looks like paint splatter) but that bakelite shines beautifully. Great addition to your collection. This vintage early radio is in acceptable pre-owned used condition. Considering the age of this radio it does show some signs of ware with age such as scuffs, scratches and slight dents and peeling on the veneer. That said this radio was plugged in and tested and it was found that it does play but the dial cord is broke. That said all knobs on this radio do turn freely. This radio is also missing its back cardboard piece. All conditions mentioned above here will be shown in close detail in the photos below, please see all 12. 17 1/2″ x 10″ x 10 1/2. This one was in two boxes with cabinet in one boox and chassis in another. Notes indicated the tubes all checked good except for weak eye tube. Electrolytic capacitors replaced but original coupling caps and poor condition power cord. Cabinet has been nicely refinished and shows very well. Stunning lighted multi-color dial.
