The distinctive cabinet is in very good condition given its age and made from walnut veneers and contrasting hardwoods – very pretty. The This is a working radio ready to play, display and enjoy – the sound is clear and crisp with no hum. As with all my radios it is electrically sound – the tubes are strong and the all the capacitors have been replaced. The radio plays very well and should give years of good service. The radio features: a working dial light; a good-sized speaker; bakelite knobs; a stylized wooden grill with original grill cloth; and a slide rule dial. The cord has been replaced and has a polarized plug. The approximate measurements are: 11″ across, 8″ high and 6.5 deep. Restored Vintage RCA Model 9×561 Bakelite AM Table Radio from 1950

This radio set has been restored to it’s original condition and is ready to bring another lifetime’s listening pleasure to it’s proud new owner. You will be satisfied with this radio set because no detail inside OR outside has been overlooked in order to deliver both “dependable performance” and appealing cabinetry. Every effort has been made to offer a practically new radio, performing as it did originally, and to be maintenance free for quite some time. The bakelite cabinet is in exceptional condition without any cracks and has been hand rubbed to restore it’s original showroom finish. The Mercedes Styled speaker grille front is original to this cabinet; EXTREMELY RARE to find without severe damage. The brass trim accent nose has been polished and overlacquered to prevent future corrosion. This model measures 12″ X 7″ X 10high. The large 7 speaker was newly re-coned and delivers. A thorough clean job. Check out all the photos. The electronics inside the chassis have been totally overhauled. This radio uses 5 tubes. All 5 tubes are “new old stock” and the dial light bulbs are new and rated at 3000 hours. There is a RCA phono jack and Radio / Phono switch in the rear of the chassis so you may plug in your old style amplifier-less RCA phonograph turntable. In addition, as part of this sale, I will enclose a cable to attach this radio to your MP3 player, see photo; instructions are included. Following the restoration, all radio circuits were re-tuned to their specification using instrumentation. Just in case you read this far: Yes, it required 3 junkers in order to restore the RCA 9×561 that’s for sale today. It’s 2024, 1950 radio sets are hard to find in restore condition. Offered for your consideration is this wonderful, restored Arvin 5 tube radio – model 53. It is considered a compact or midget radio manufactured in the early 1950′s. It plays exceptionally well – clear and crisp with no hum. This is a working radio ready to play, display and enjoy – the sound is very good – it is playing as I write this. As with all my radios it is electrically sound – the tubes are strong and all of the original wax/paper capacitors have been replaced. The case has been restored to a screaming fire engine red using high quality automotive paint – it shines. The grill cloth is an excellent replacement and it is correct without a back. The measurements are: 8″ across, 5″ high and 4 wide. This radio will give years of good service. For your consideration an Electrohome tabletop 5 tube radio – model P-103 manufactured in the early 1950′s. The speaker is loud and clear – the radio brings in a lot of stations. This is a working radio ready to play, display and enjoy – the sound is very good with no hum This radio looks good – the blue restored cabinet has been coated with a scratch resistant high-end vinyl product. As with all my radios it is electrically fit – the tubes are strong and all of the original wax/paper capacitors have been replaced. Also featuring: classic 50′s body styling: a sunken grill with the logo inside; the numbers on the large white tuning knob are good replacements. The cord has been replaced with a polarized plug and it has its original back with a loop antenna. The measurements are:10.5″ across, 6″ high and 5 wide. Offered for your consideration is this great little restored Telechron 5 tube clock radio – Model 8H59, built in 1948 The condition of this clock radio is very good. This is a working radio ready to play, display and enjoy – the clock and timer are in good working order – the Electron clock movement was disassembled and lubricated. The clock escutcheon shows a bit of wear. The wine case colour is a vinyl high end scratch resistant automotive product. The sound is clear and crisp with no hum. As with all my radios it is electrically sound – the tubes are strong and all of the old paper wax the capacitors have been replaced. The cord has been replaced with a polarized plug. It features a stylized Bakelite cabinet; an escutcheon on the clock ; the clock and timer are also run on a Telechron movement; the tuning control works smoothly and the back, loop antenna and all knobs are original. The measurements are just: 10″ x 6″ x 4.5 The radio will continue to give years of good service. The wood cabinet is in excellent condition without any cracks, delamination of veneers, or patch-job repairs; the dial cover is brand new. The cabinet has been refinished in traditional manner using linseed oil varnish to bring out the texture of the veneers and impart a soft shine. This model measures 12″ X 6″ X 7.5″high with full 5″ Speaker. A thorough clean job. Check out all the photos. The electronics inside the chassis have been totally overhauled. That includes: new dial string and power cord, power supply completely replaced, and replacing all the old wax capacitors. This radio uses 6 tubes. Offered for your consideration is this wonderful little compact, super collectable Stewart Warner, model # R-514 – a very Deco tube radio manufactured in 1938. This radio is known as the Reverse Bullet. Almost all bullet radios have the bullet curve on the right, but this one is on the left making it very rare and very tough to find. The dial and numbers are clean and clear. All of the original wax paper capacitors have been replaced. The radio brings in a lot of stations for its size. The radio likes to play Bill Hailey music. The body has been coated with very high quality automotive paint has been baked on; the cord has been replaced with a polarized plug. Also featuring: nice deco body styling, louvered bakelite grill and it has its original knobs; and the off/on/volume and tuner both work smoothly. The clam shell back is a good reproduction. The measurements are: 10″ across, 6.5″ high and 5.5 wide. This radio will continue to give years of good service. The case is very attractive and very deco. This is a working radio ready to play, display and enjoy – the sound is very good with no hum. This radio likes to play Benny Goodman music. Featuring super 1940′s Art Deco styling with’Rainbow Grille’ and Stair-step walls, Rounded Corners, the dial is an excellent replacement along with the dial pointer.
