MADE IN NEW ZEALAND. It is in Very Nice Condition, exactly as it appears in the Photos. It is Complete and Very Clean inside-out. The Power Lead has been updated. As you can see, its Green Cabinet is a Stunningly. Beautiful Colour, and the Set will take pride of place anywhere it is placed. This MW-SW Unit would appear to be a rather rare Model, so don’t miss out! Operationally, it has excellent Sensitivity, receiving Stations across the whole MW Band and on SW with ease. The actual Sound is just Superb; Clear and Full-bodied, with no distortion whatsoever a real pleasure to listen to even for prolonged periods of time. The Tone Control works. Well, and the Radio has more than ample Volume as desired. The Dial Lamp illuminates the Station Dial nicely. This radio has the oval “racetrack” dial and is highly sought after. The functions of the 4 round knobs from left to right are On/Off/Volume, Tone (2 positions), Tuning, and Function. The radio has 5 pushbuttons on the lower part of the brass escutcheon. The Function knob on the far right selects either Shortwave, Standard Broadcast, or Automatic that activates the station presets. I had to pull out very slightly on the tuning knob to tune the radio smoothly (otherwise it would sometimes catch before moving again). Please look at all of the pictures for more detail. Beautiful Vintage 1961 Blaupunkt Sultan 2623 Stereo Tube Radio Made In Germany. Made by Blaupunkt the same company that has made high end radios for Porsche & BMW. It is in excellent cosmetic condition. There are no cracks in the plastic front. The veneer is tight and the original finish and still looks great. There are a couple of minor chips on the front edge wood that have been repaired and minor scratches here and there. Over all the radio looks stunning. After we got the radio home we plugged it in and realized the fuse in the radio had blown. We then changed the fuse and plugged it in and the power came on but had no sound. After looking inside we realized that it was missing a couple of vacuum tubes. We then moved the cord slightly and the fuse blew again. Seems the power cord has a short where it plugs into the radio. Radio is untested and as-is and would be great to restore. Please look at the pictures closely and judge the condition and content of this lot for yourself as our photos are a large portion of our description. The radio needs a new AC power cord so I was unable to turn it on. He wood cabinet is nice and solid and the finish looks really beautiful. There are some minor imperfections like you might expect on a piece from this era. All of the various dials and switches seem to be turning/functioning as they should be. As you can see from the pictures, the chassis looks clean but the radio has been in storage for many years so I’m sure that it could use a good/thorough cleaning. Please be sure to preview all of the pictures so that you can determine the condition for yourself. Very beautiful example of the classic catalin radio. This is a vintage 40′s Addison 2 “Waterfall” in burgundy with butterscotch trim made by Addison Industries Limited in Toronto, Canada. This unique Art Deco styling features the famous “waterfall” speaker grill with wrap around trim in butterscotch. The contrast of the butterscotch and burgundy body and dials makes for an eye appealing streamlined design. The radio hums and crackles when plugged in. Will double box with plenty of bubble wrap. Beautiful Red Restored 1948 Motorola Model 68X11Q Antique Vintage Tube AM Radio

This is a six tube radio that allows it to receive stations very well with good clear sound and volume without the need for an external antenna. The beautiful case is maroon with a taupe or brownish gray speaker cover and a dial that lights up when the radio is on. The case has no chips or odors but had a crack in the bottom that has been repaired with an aluminum plate epoxied inside. I have thoroughly washed and buffed the case and it only has a few imperfections for a 70 year old. The ivory colored knobs are original. The original hardboard back is still in great condition and shows the location of the tubes. The inside chassis has been thoroughly cleaned; the volume control de-oxidized for smooth volume changes and all moving controls lubricated. I have replaced all old electrolytic and wax capacitors in the chassis with new modern capacitors and have checked all resistors. Brittle or bare wiring has been replaced or re-insulated. All 6 easily found tubes have been tested and questionable tubes have been replaced. The line cord has been replaced with a new 18 gauge cord with molded, polarized plug. The speaker is in great condition. The radio has been successfully bench tested for days and should continue to play loud and clear for another 70 years. The radio size is approximately 8 high by 13 wide by 7½ deep and weighs almost 6 pounds. For model 68X11Q Ch= HS-148, Motorola Inc. American Radio Design Greg Mercurio.
