For sale: Gorgeous Zenith Radio Model 5S327, Racetrack. This radio has been completely restored to full functionality. You may also use it as a tube amplifier for guitar. By design, it uses high voltage for vacuum tube anodes; therefore, it should not be operated unattended for long periods of time. All vintage orange Zenith capacitors were re-stuffed with modern elements to preserve the chassis’ authentic look. Electrolytic caps were re-stuffed as well (as seen in photos). The chassis and cabinet codes match. I added photos of the chassis alone, it is very clean and looks beautiful, exactly as it was designed years ago. While working on the chassis, I tried to make my restoration work literally invisible so you would be able to appreciate the original design. I preserved the original grill cloth since it was in great condition. Overall, the radio plays great (on both the aux port and reception). The speaker is in mint original condition-no cracks, holes, or any other damage. The radio has original knobs. The cabinet veneer is original too. I refreshed its appearance with high-quality lacquer to bring it back to its original shine. Please feel free to ask questions.
