Westinghouse Radiola III-A Regenerative Receiver with Balanced Amplifier. Manufactured by Canadian Westinghouse Co. Limited, Hamilton, Canada (licensed by RCA) circa 1924. Features original bakelite top panel, control knobs, lever station selector, and Canadian brass identification plate. Fitted with four vintage globe/shoulder glass vacuum tubes inserted into pin adapter sockets. Note on Tubes & Sockets: Radiola III-A units originally used 4-prong WD-11 tubes. These tubes sit in adapters converting the sockets. The tubes fit somewhat loosely; they are untested, not guaranteed original to the set, and included purely as shown. Condition: Untested and non-working. The original hinged bottom wood casing panel has been replaced with a homemade solid replacement base with modern felt pads. Cabinet wood shows authentic age-related finish wear, checks, and surface marks. Measurements: Approximately 11.5 inches long, 5.5 inches deep, and 5 inches tall (casing only, excluding tubes). Vintage Homebrew Amateur Radio Tuner / Oscillator Sub-Assembly. Early custom radio builder / ham chassis mounted to an aluminum faceplate and wood base block. Centerpiece is an original National Company “Velvet Vernier” planetary slow-motion reduction tuning dial mechanism with arched window readout and embossed logo. Equipped with tuning capacitor coil assembly on rear, fluted pointer knob, and headphone/antenna connection jack. Non-working; ideal parts chassis or steampunk build project.
