This vintage promotional Radio Advertising Microphone Tube Radio is a must-have for collectors! Radio station 99.1 – WKOP fm – made by Mike-Radio of Chicago. This radio has the Station Identification Tag at the top of the radio. It is the perfect display piece for your home or office. Measures 13 tall and made of heavy plastic. The radio powers up and we get a hum. Condition is in very good condition there are a few flea bites at the bottom of stand, and one foot has been replaced with a pushpin (all in photos).

So Collins made some of the best sounding tube equipment from the late 1940s through the early 60s and this Collins 12Z is evidence of that. The build quality of this surpasses most other American makers of the time and rivals the German equipment made by Telefunken, EAB, and others of the same period. The 12Z is so overbuilt right down to the machined aluminum knobs. It is packed with transformers made by Thordarson, and attenuators by Daven. It is four inputs with a single output and will run on AC or batteries. All the transformers are. Good, it should be looked over by a tech to make sure all the caps are 100% before being used. RCA 44-BX from WMBD. Here is a classic 44BX microphone from RCA. And I do mean classic! This one is from WMBD radio in Peoria, IL. The station is still around, and this is part of its history! The paint and metal finish, glossy gray, is actually pretty good and shiny. The call sign banner is cast metal of some sort, and really looks good. This will be packed very well.
