RARE Vintage 1930′s Amperite RBH Ribbon Microphone & Stand

Offering a very rare 1930′s AMPERITE RBH Ribbon Microphone. Built in New York City, and one that displays very well! Quite often these are rusty and crusty so it’s a bit unusual to find one this nice. This mic is 100% complete, ribbon looks OK, but only produces very low output. It is all ORIGINAL and not repainted. The gun metal finish displays well and is free of any dents, rust or visual defects. Includes a 4 foot long cord with 3 pin XLR male connector. THE VINTAGE HEAVY CAST IRON STAND IS INCLUDED. The yoke holds the mic firmly in any tilted position and is attached to a replacement chrome male microphone adapter so it will mount to any deck stand or boom. It has a very clean original Amperite badge, which almost always go missing. Note: Amperite made the RBH and RAH models, look exactly the same, but the RBH model was double the cost of the RAH, better frequency response, and 50% heavier in weight than the RAH. Amperite produced some of the most attractive and modernistic art-deco designs of its day, were quite popular in night-club, P. And broadcast/recording applications, and proved to be a major competitor with the giant RCA at that time. This Amperite RBH model, despite its bold machine-ag. Exterior, was actually a fine microphone, offering high quality at a bargain price compared with the more expensive RCA’s of its time. THE MIC STAND IS INCLUDED. The Senior 23 was known as the Cadillac of the early polytronics line. The call message lamp is a broken off on front panel and the rear panel has paint splatter otherwise extremely clean for this vintage (1963) The front panel on unit has clean crisp lettering. All knobs, switches/controls move freely. I closed my vintage tube CB radio museum in 2007 and was reluctant to part with these pieces of communication history however it’s time for other collectors to enjoy as I did. Offering a very rare. This is a dynamic mic manufactured in the 1940′s by. Sporting a solid brass body, original brass yoke, brass thumb screws and brass threaded mic mount. The brass is in overall awesome condition and it has the original 3 pin connector on the back side. I do not have the connector cable so could not test it. The front brass wind screen has no dents of damage and the Melodynamic badge is nice and clear. Frankly I have not seen one of these mics ever look this good, considering it’s nearly 80 years of age.
