What a rare find. This is a 1927 Model 38 Atwater Kent Radio. These radios were top of the line in thier time and predate all the Philco and other brand radios. This radio looks excellent but has NO SPEAKER TO TEST. I did verify power after warming up with a Christy tester. The power tube and the 5 tubes to the right all lit up. I let the radio stay on for 5 mins and no smell, smoke or burned out bulbs. Knobs and switches all move properly. Cord is very worn and should be replaced. Inside looks very complete. Very hard to find one of these radios with all internal components looking this nice. I really wish i had the speaker to test.
