Very desirable, hard to find US Radio Model 305-6 “Gloritone” cathedral radio that has been completely restored. Radio gives an initial squeal when turned on, but receives stations quite readily with no background noise. Reception is strong and volume is also excellent. Unit has been recapped, so it should play for years to come. The exterior of the radio has been refinished and the Birdseye maple really stands out. There are a few minor nicks and scratches from being moved around, but overall the appearance is fantastic. The power cord is in excellent condition – appears to be a replacement and the grill cloth is in great shape, with no rips or tears. There are some screw holes on the rear where someone affixed a cardboard cover to protect the electronics. I will include the cover and screws. Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered.
It’s an impressive radio, sporting the craftsmanship of Ingraham, from the slotted protruding grill to the inlaid striping on the front and sides of the American Walnut cabinet. An internal loop antenna brings in my local stations to the updated electronics that send them out loud and clear. Somewhere in its life the old cord was replaced. The dial plastic on the classy dial appears to have a small crack or scratch in the middle, which can be seen in the photos. Overall, the cabinet is in great shape, with a few little dings not very visible on the photos. The radio’s size is approx. 12″ W x 8″ H x 7 D. Look over the pictures carefully to make sure the condition of the radio is acceptable to you. They offer a better external description than I could. Please don’t mess with the electronics unless you’re experienced working on vintage radios due to the presence of high voltages. Since this radio is old, I can’t guarantee anything, but FedX has been doing a great job delivering them undamaged. Of course, please let me know immediately if you have a problem. I’d like you to enjoy this radio as much as I have.

Working Vintage Philco Brown Bakelite? Radio “Hippo” 1940′s 12″ x 7 1/2″x 6. I was using it to listen to the Cubs games. Clean and very good physical condition. Scuffs and scratching due to age and use. There is a ding in the glass as shown in the photos. Please see all the photos for condition details as they are part of the description. Vintage, mid-century Zenith Model 6S511 that is in working condition. I was able to receive stations quite readily by using the push button feature (the dial indicator does not function when using the knob – it will need to be restrung) and the reception was good, with minimal background noise. The teal/robin egg blue color on the body is not original, but it was well done. Some of the paint is scraped off on the ride side near the front edge (see photos), revealing the original black color, which is very desirable. The radio still presents well on a shelf or you can strip it down to it’s original black or repaint the body. There are no cracks to the body. The power cord appears to be a replacement, as there is an on/off switch on the cord. Attractive radio that will be a fine addition to your collection. Vintage 1940′s Radio. Condition: Not currently working. The cord needs to be replaced before anything else can be tested. The brand Coronado is known for their quality radios and this model is no exception. The radio has been well-preserved over the years and is in excellent condition.
