THE RADIO LOOKS EVEN BETTER IN PERSON. THIS RADIO IS HOUSED IN AN INDUSTRIAL DESIGNED CASE THAT SCREAMS OF MODERNISM AND MOTION. THIS RADIOS CONDITION IS VERY NICE WITH NO CRACKS, CHIPS, OR BREAKS. THIS RADIOS BAKELITE CASE HAS HAD A CUSTOM RETRO PAINT RESTORATION OF THE HIGHEST PROFESSIONAL QUALITY AND THE RESULTS ARE MAGNIFICENT. THE DEEP SHADES OF COLORS ARE UNMATCHED AND UNIQUE. THIS RADIO IS ABOUT AS COOL AS IT GETS AND A ONE OF A KIND!!! THE ONLY FLAW I SEE IS A LOWER RIGHT SIDE TOUCH UP TO THE PAINT (see the last photo) NOT BAD AT ALL. Vintage Bakelite Philco 1946 Transitone Radio, Model 46-200. Nice mid-century table top radio in good condition overall considering it’s age and use. Radio does work and I was able to get clear reception on one station. Bakelite cabinet is in good condition overall with a small crack on back left corner and some minor scratches and imperfections. One knob is broken and requires removal to adjust tuning. Back cover is missing. Cord should be repaired or replaced. Insulation is brittle and wires are beginning to become exposed near where it connects to the unit. Overall this is a really nice, vintage tabletop radio. Please review photos to assess condition. Radio measures approximately 10 3/8″ x 6 1/2″ x 6.

The radio does power on, and gets static, but no channels. A wonderful candidate for a full restore! The case has knicks and such, as you can see. This is highly collectible and representative of the Golden Age of radio! Light Mahogany Molded Plywood Case by Charles & Ray Eames for Zenith, 1946.
