I don’t know about these older electronics well enough, so I avoid plugging them in to refrain from causing any possible damage. For the most part, the wood is in decent shape, with some lite scratches, scuffs, etc–nothing that a quick sanding and refinishing wouldn’t fix up pretty easily. The bottom left of the back panel is torn and the inside looks complete. I took off the back cover to check out the inside, and noticed that the front most piece with the 2 screws in it is very loose, and turning the screws didn’t seem to help much. This radio belonged to a friend who collected old radios, and is beginning to let most of it go. I know for a fact that it hasn’t been used in the last 10 years or so. More pics can be made available upon request. This item will be packaged with ample padding to help prevent any damage while in transit. Looking for an elegant vintage radio? Offered for your consideration is this very nice wooden cased Coronado 5 tube radio – manufactured in the early1950′s. This is a stylish radio to look at. The distinctive wooden cabinet is simplistically stylish, and has its original finish retouched mind you, but in great condition – a real bonus. The sound is good with no hum. As with all my radios it is electrically sound – the tubes are strong and the all of capacitors have been replaced. It features; the grill and cord are in good condition; the clear dial and pointer are stunning. The knobs are original and the off/on/volume switch and the tuner work very smoothly. The wiring schematic diagram are present on the bottom of the radio. The Measurements are: across 12″ height 7″, and width 6. Every vintage tube radio I sell has been thoroughly serviced – tubes tested, components checked and then the unit is lubricated and cleaned inside and out.
