Looking for an elegant vintage radio? Offered for your consideration is this very nice wooden cased Coronado 5 tube radio – manufactured in the early1950′s. This is a stylish radio to look at. The distinctive wooden cabinet is simplistically stylish, and has its original finish retouched mind you, but in great condition – a real bonus. The sound is good with no hum. As with all my radios it is electrically sound – the tubes are strong and the all of capacitors have been replaced. It features; a great wooden case: the clear dial and pointer are stunning; the knobs are original and the off/on/volume switch and the tuner work very smoothly. The wiring schematic diagram and parts list are present on the bottom of the radio; the back is original and the cord has been replaced with a new one that has a polarized plug The Measurements are: across 12″ height 7″, and width 6. Every vintage tube radio I sell has been thoroughly serviced – tubes tested, components checked and then the unit is lubricated and cleaned inside and out. The work performed can be seen in the pictures of the chassis and/or found in the radio description. Bigger size wooden cabinet, some patina, see detailed picture. All at all nice optic. The tubes are : EC92 EC92 ECH81 EF85 EM34 EABC80 EL84 and are all checked on FUNKE W 19 S military tube tester too. The size is : 620 x 380 x 270 mm / 24.4 x 15 x 10.6 inch its multivoltage, Alternating Current supply (AC) / 110/125; 220 V/240V (can be set easily at the back) the weight is around 11kg. Vintage Tombstone radio Philco Model 37-650. Radio Powers up, Several Tubes light up. There is “noise” from the speaker. While turning the radio for photos to show it powers the Sylvania 5Y3GT fuse/tube blew. So it will need a replacement Sylvania 5Y3GT tube or a Philco 5Y4G Tube. All knobs work as they should. Wood is in decent condition – would make for a nice restoration. Dial and tuner is intact and physically operational. Selector for the 3 bands is operational. Case has some wear.
