Very hard to find this mid century Deco radio in Ivory plaskon, the radio displays well, made circa 1951 by Westinghouse of Canada. The radio is solid ivory or white plaskon, not painted. The case on this radio has several stresslines as is visible in the pictures. The factory original back cover is present. Original knobs and dial. The radio is tested and does not receive any stations. Should wish to play this, I recommend having it serviced by a qualified technician. The chassis is clean and complete, some tube light up, but no broadcasts received. Vintage Westinghouse AM/FM Tube Radio H371-T7 (1952) TOTALLY RESTORED

The baby boom was in full swing the year this radio was made and lots of new and exciting things were taking place in the USA. FM was fairly recent and nowhere near as popular as it is today. This radio embodies those times with bold and strong styling of the MCM period. The plastic looks like the old Bakelite, but is lighter and leaving the old technology behind. It sounds great too, with seven tubes for exceptional sensitivity and selectivity using the internal loop antenna. It also has high/low tone control for your listening preference, providing a rich and mellow sound through the center mount speaker. With a simple color combination of the dark walnut/swirled burgundy cabinet against the brass controls and accents, it is a very handsome radio. As with all of the radios I restore, it has been gone over with the utmost attention to detail. The cabinet was completely cleaned, then polished to a gleaming smooth finish. There are no cracks or blemishes on it. The brass accents and knobs were polished, as was the dial pointer. The back cover is original and in excellent condition. Electronically, the chassis was restored, cleaned and serviced, with all paper/wax and electrolytic capacitors replaced with new ones. Tubes and resistors were tested and replaced as needed. All controls and contacts were detail cleaned and lubricated. Wiring and other components were replaced as needed. The trouble prone selenium rectifier was replaced with a modern diode. The radio was aligned, peaked and tuned for optimal reception and quality of sound using the internal loop antenna. At 67 years old, this radio may be like the one you listened to when growing up. Since being restored, it will continue to provide many more years of listening pleasure if well cared for. It is a standout radio and a must for a collector. Vintage Westinghouse H-125 Tube Radio. Turquoise color – greenish / bluish. Radio is fully functional. Station wheel-dial is a little twisted or warped. It turns, but you need to push it back a bit to get it over a “hump” and continue to rotate. The signal is fuzzy, but the DJ is understandable. The carrying handle was detached when we got the old-time radio at an estate sale, from a collector of old radios, in rural central Kansas. We put the handle back in, and it seems to be okay now, but caution advised when carrying it by the handle, lest it come loose and plummet… Cosmetically, it good condition. Vintage 1931 Westinghouse Columinaire WR-8 Grandfather Radio PARTS ONLY. Westinghouse’s motive for dubbing the Model WR-8 the’Columnaire’ is apparent when you see a photograph of it. This model also had a -R version with remote control. The remote, though, has a cable attached to it; it’s not wireless like today’s remotes. The fundamental circuit of. These receivers is the vVR-5 receiver chassis and power pack shown in Data Sheet No. The model WR-6 is a highboy; its circuit is the same as used in the WR-S, except as modified for tone control. The Model WR-7 is similar to the model XR-6, except as modified for an electric phonograph. Westinghouse “Columnaire” Models WR-8 and WR-8-R (Remote Control). Models WR-6-R and WR·7-R are the same as the respective WR·6 and WR-7 chasses, except as modified for remote control. The Model WR-8 uses the same chassis and power pack as the Model WR-6, only all electric clock and the cabinet distinguishing it as the “Columnaire;” the remote-control model being coded as the Model WR-8-R. Vintage Westinghouse Model Columaire Skyscraper Clock Radio – WR-8, that is in working condition. The radio receives stations quite readily, but the tuning knob will not turn the dial as the string has broken. The minute hand on the clock works, but the hour hand on the clock does not function properly, as it is loose and does not appear to be original. The clock face opens up and when closed, it does not cover some of the unfinished wood from the clock face. The condition of the body is good considering its age. The finish is all original and has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax. There is a bit of veneer damage on the bottom of the radio that appears to have been patched up at one time and there are some cracks in the veneer as well. Despite these defects, the appearance of the radio is very good. There is a back to the radio, which i will add to the photos. The radio stands 55″ tall, 13″ wide, and 11 1/4 deep. Great looking art deco radio that will be a fine addition to your collection. Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered.
