Here we have a vintage General Electric T-1000C Tube Radio! Beautiful and Sleek Mid-Century design with Walnut and Cherry Wood. Foldable and Detachable Stereo Speakers ease and increased portability. Good condition, Loud Speakers, some light signs of wear. Phono inputs and addtitonal speaker outputs on the back of the unit. The Radio & Antenna Work. There is some interference and unbalancing when turning the Tune and Balance pots. Will need to have potentiometers cleaned up or replaced to be 100%. CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original hand crafted walnut colored wood. The finish is factory original with dings and finish checking throughout. Not repainted, no touch up, no over spray. There are no major scratches or abrasions. Clear tuning glass window is not cracked, no chips, yellowed with age, securely attached. Original grill fabric is not ripped, some water stains, not separated along edges. LOGO: No missing logos. Detrola front decal is not flaking off. KNOBS: The original tuning knobs are all matching in excellent condition no cracks no chips securely attached. LETTERING: No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial numbering. The tuning dial works fine no slipping or sticky spots. Tuning back panel is a rare unusual metallic painted red burgundy color. DIAL LIGHT: not tested due to age of cord. BACKING BOARD: Factory original backing board is secured and attached to. POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are not tested in old condition with cracks & splits. FACTORY LABEL: No missing factory labels. COLOR: brown, walnut color wood. DIMENSIONS: Approximately 13″ x 8″ x 7.5 (l x w x h). WEIGHT: 7 lbs 8 oz. Country of manufacture: USA. Would be a great, but apparently minor, restoration project for the right hobbyist. Radio powers on and lights up, but I think it has one bad tube. Needs new dial string. Cosmetically some needs restoration, but no major damage to the case or front dial. Photos show condition pretty well. The most quintessential philco style radio ever made! And this one has the dark veneer I believe it’s walnut all the original knobs and I believe the grill cloth in front of the speaker is original also. In a physical condition you would have a hard time finding one in better condition one chip on one side to veneer. The gut are all there it wants to work turns on light works and it make lots of statistic sound sure it need to be gone through completely and cleaned up. It will work again need some love. It’s the looks I think are really cool and what what people think of when they think about old radios. Measures 16″ x 12″ x 9.
