It’s a fine example of post-war American craftsmanship and an excellent candidate for restoration or display. Gilfillan 66-A (circa 1946). Solid Claro Walnut with rich grain. Sides are a substantial 1-1/2 thick solid walnut. Dimensions: 15″W x 9-1/4″H x 8-3/4D. See testing video : The radio was powered up using the successive series dim-bulb technique (25W / 40W / 100W) with monitored voltage remaining within spec. Audio output and slight hum. Through the first two bulbs. When the 100W bulb was applied. Volume increased but so did hum. (as shown in the included video). It will need two Electrolytic Filter Capacitors replaced by a competent vintage-radio technician before being powered on again. A classic 1940s Gilfillan in solid walnut. Stunning woodwork and vintage design. Near-operational with minor servicing needed. The radio as shown. Link or video reference of operational test. Please review all photos and video before purchasing. A rare opportunity to own a gorgeous piece of radio history! Thank you for supporting Animal Outreach!
