Installation and tuning of the radio frequency is provided manually using a mechanical vernier. The Vernier four-section KPI has four stages of deceleration. The vernier design is completely backlash-free due to the fact that the teeth of the drive wheels of each stage are jammed between the teeth of the two driven wheels. Scale – combined with mechanical and optical photo-display of the received frequency with light illumination. The receiver provides step-by-step adjustment of the IF bandwidth. The input circuits of the radio over the entire frequency range are designed to work from an open antenna of any length. The input circuits of the Volna-3 receiver are also designed to turn on a balanced antenna through a two-wire feeder with a wave impedance of 200 Ohms. The input of the receiver is protected from interference from the radar range, as well as from high RF voltages induced in the antenna from transmitters operating in the vicinity.
