In fact, it could have been manufactured in’46 or’47. Not much information available. The knobs, speaker fabric, back and dial are all original. The crystal clear dial cover is a new replacement. The wooden cabinet is in great shape with nicks and dings consistent with age. On the bottom left side in the back, there’s a small veneer repair. T his Arvin picks up many stations loud and clear. The tubes are good. Capacitors have been replace as well as resistors if needed, but there still is an audible hum. 12″ W x 8″ H x 7 D. Look over the pictures carefully to make sure the condition of the radio is acceptable to you. They offer a better external description than I could. If you have any questions, please contact me. I ran the radio about a half hour before packing it to make sure it was working properly. Please don’t mess with the electronics unless you’re experienced working on vintage radios due to the presence of high voltages. Since this radio is old, I can’t guarantee anything other than it was working when boxed. FedX has been doing a great job delivering them undamaged. Of course, please let me know immediately if you have a problem. I’d like you to enjoy this radio as much as I have.

Vintage 1939 Firestone S-7403-5 AM Radio, Ingraham Cabinet, Updated and Working

It’s an impressive radio, sporting the craftsmanship of Ingraham, from the slotted protruding grill to the inlaid striping on the front and sides of the American Walnut cabinet. An internal loop antenna brings in my local stations to the updated electronics that send them out loud and clear. Somewhere in its life the old cord was replaced. The dial plastic on the classy dial appears to have a small crack or scratch in the middle, which can be seen in the photos. Overall, the cabinet is in great shape, with a few little dings not very visible on the photos. The radio’s size is approx. 12″ W x 8″ H x 7 D. Look over the pictures carefully to make sure the condition of the radio is acceptable to you. They offer a better external description than I could.
