Reproduction Knight Broadcaster kit. This listing has multiple photos, scroll down to see them all. Dual voltage 115 / 230 VAC power transformer, for domestic and foreign use. Kit does not include vacuum tubes, see text below. A revision has also been done to the kit, incorporating the improvements below. Side panels are now fabricated from the same high quality fiberglass PC board material, as the top, front and back panels. These are more rigid parts, and a better color match to the other panels. Pre-drilled side and bottom plates, no hole drilling necessary. Improved rear panel AC layout and easier wiring. Kit now includes a BONUS audio input board! The Knight Broadcaster was meant to be used with low level microphone inputs. High level signals will distort the output, unless the input is attenuated. To ease this problem, as well as improve connectivity to audio sources, we have designed an accessory input control board. The kit includes a small 2-3/8 x 2-3/8 PC board (same blue color), to allow easy connection of bare wire, RCA, or 3.5mm jack inputs! The board also features a potentiometer level control, AND isolation transformer, if you experience hum problems. See new photos near the end of the listing. This is a reproduction kit of the Knight Broadcaster – Amplifier. Easily connect a high level input from an iPod, MP3 player, stereo, etc. The kit also functions as an audio PA (Public Address) style amplifier, and has connections you can hook up a loudspeaker too. The kit is electrical equivalent to the original, with several minor changes. Our design includes a brand new, high quality, Triad isolation transformer. Transformer has a dual 115/230 volt primary, for domestic and foreign use. Appropriate changes has been made for mounting the transformer on the back, and for internal wiring. We have replaced the selenium rectifier with a modern diode. The kit comes with a prewound oscillator coil. As shown in the internal wiring photo, modern filter capacitors, smaller rectifier diode and oscillator coil, give easier and increased assembly and working room! To keeps costs as low as possible, the kit does NOT come with tubes. The circuit uses common tubes you may already have. The remaining tube is a 12AX7, probably the most common preamplifier tube in the world. We have gone to great effort, time and expense to acquire vintage style components , like those used in the original design. As shown in the parts photos, the kit currently uses vintage parts, including carbon composition resistors (may be vintage or modern manufacture), phenolic wafer tube sockets, vintage terminal strips, and a vintage compression tuner capacitor. As time progresses on, these parts become harder and harder to find, and at some point may be replaced with modern equivalents. Until otherwise noted, the kit will come with the vintage parts just mentioned. The prototype in the photos used a couple carbon film resistors, but kits will come with all carbon composition resistors, with the exception of several safety metal oxide resistors where applicable. The kit now uses black oxide screws to assemble the panels, instead of the costly blue screws shown in the photos. Style of output transformer may vary. NOTE: This kit requires good electrical and mechanical building skills, and is recommended for advanced builders. Some mechanical modifications are required, such as cutting the metal potentiometer shaft to the correct length, enlarging the tube sockets holes, etc. The kit is constructed with individual fiberglass panels for the top, front, back and sides. These are fiberglass printed circuit boards, with high durability lettering. The bottom panel is an acrylic or similar plastic material, it’s color may vary or be clear. The parts are connected by plastic brackets and screws, as you can see in the internal view photo. The original manual and addendum assembly notes are supplied as JPG and RTF files on a CD-R respectively. Note we do not supply copies of manuals. The kit is only for sale people with experience building and operated line powered devices. The kit must be operated under FCC Part 15 regulations at all times. This unit must only be operated with the supplied line isolation transformer. Not for sale to, or use by minors. It is assumed that the unit(s) will be installed and operated by qualified personnel. See our other listings for more Radio, Electronic and other RARE and UNIQUE items. NOTE : The flat and reflective surfaces cause some reflections in the photos. Vertical’lines’ on the front panel are reflections from the corrugated cardboard the unit was photographed on. As shown in above photo, kit does not come with vacuum tubes, see listing description. With fiberglass panels and stainless steel hardware, your kit will look good for many years! Kit now features black oxide panel connecting screws, not blue screws shown in photos. Modern filter capacitors, rectifier diode and smaller coil, give increased working room. Kit now uses PC mount RCA jacks, see text. Brand new in box isolation transformer. D ual 115 – 230 volt primary. CD-R with original manual scans, and addendum assembly file. Accessory input control board now included with kit. Board can easily mount to panels if desired, see above and below photos. See our other listings, for our much lower cost, miniature tube transmitter. Vintage UNBUILT Radio Shack Science Fair AM one vacuum tube P-BOX receiver KIT

We have a SMALL number of original, vintage, used P-Box bases, and will be making a limited number of kits with them. This was probably one of the most popular P-Box kits. Basic kit consists of a used plastic base, and set of mostly original components. Kit does NOT include the bottom clear base or color insert. This is a Tandy Radio Shack, One Tube Radio Kit, compiled from other original P-Box kit parts, and a few new and NOS (New Old Stock) items. The set consists of an original , used plastic red base. It may have small marks and scratches, and solder melt marks, but is in good condition. All electronic components are vintage parts, including an original Radio Shack tuning loopstick coil, and original push-in spring terminals (may be tarnished from age). The remaining hardware – spacers, nuts and screws are new. The earphone is a modern manufactured type. Instructions are supplied on a CD-R. See photos for a representation of the parts. The top tag on the plastic case is still firmly attached, these are usually missing. The kit operates on one AA battery, and a 22-1/2 volt battery, batteries not included. You can use two or three ordinary 9-volt batteries connected in series, in place of the 22.5 volt battery. We also sell 22.5 volt batteries, see our other listings. It is assumed that the unit(s) will be installed and operated by qualified personnel. Used base, photo is a representative sample, see text for details. Parts may vary slightly from photo. Brand of tube may vary. See our other listings for a 22.5 volt battery, battery not included. See our other listings, for our very own design, EXCLUSIVE PC board kits, including reproduction Heathkit and Knight Allied items. The prototype in the photos used a couple carbon film resistors, but kits will come with al carbon composition resistors, with the exception of several safety metal oxide resistors where applicable. Reproduction Knight Broadcaster kit. This listing has multiple photos, scroll down to see them all. The kit also functions as an audio PA (Public Address) style amplifier, and has connections you can hook up a loudspeaker too. The kit is electrical equivalent to the original, with several minor changes. Our design includes a brand new, high quality, Triad isolation transformer. Appropriate changes has been made for mounting the transformer on the back, and for internal wiring. We have replaced the selenium rectifier with a modern diode. RARE-GOLD vers. UNBUILT Graymark 510 vintage vacuum 5 tube AM radio receiver kit

Listing has multiple photos, scroll down to see them all. This is the uncommon gold version of the kit. It differs form the white case in the grill pattern, and the knobs are slightly different. This was a partially assembled Graymark 510 radio, that we disassembled back to its original kit form. Any assembled parts were carefully removed, and all terminals, lugs and components are free of excess solder. The plastic case has been cleaned and polished. In addition to the original components that were salvageable, the kit comes with a COMPLETE set of NOS (New Old Stock) resistors, a COMPLETE new capacitor set, set of new tube sockets, and new hookup wire! You are building the kit with a new set of parts, just like the original! The resistors are ALL vintage carbon composition types, tested to be in spec. The ceramic capacitors are vintage parts with long leads. The RF front-end ceramic capacitors have been replaced with superior polystyrene types. The tubular capacitors are brand new film caps. Finally, we are including two high voltage electrolytic capacitors, to replace the original dual power supply filter capacitor, if it becomes necessary. This is as close as you can get to an original unbuilt kit! The plastic case is in very good condition for its age, better than you normally find. It still has some small nicks and scratches, but is very presentable. Their is a stress crack on the right side, about 1.5 inches long, see photo. The front of the case is in very good – excellent condition. The manual is supplied as JPEG scans on a CD-R, please note we do not supply copies of manuals. See our other listings for more Radio, Electronic and other RARE and UNIQUE items. It is assumed that the unit(s) will be installed and operated by qualified personnel. Not for sale to minors. Comparison between white and gold cases. COMPLETE NEW set of carbon composition resistors, capacitors, tube sockets and wire! Manual supplied on CD-R, we do not supply copies of manuals.
