This PCV4 is a very rare find! Design : Dieter Rams in 1961. Stereo amplified phono box / ” Stereo-Verstärker-Phonokoffer”. With two removable speakers. 4 speeds : 16 rpm / 33 rpm / 45 rpm / 78 rpm. Voltage: 110 / 160 / 220 Volt on 50 Hz / 35 Watt. 8 kg / 17 lb 9.9 oz (17.621 lb). Has been serviced just recently and is fully working – even has “refurbished old stock” cartridge – see pics. Cosmetically good for its age, but with some wear around the volume knob and little rust on the outside metal parts. Notice the 50 Hertz frequency issue – the turntable will not run properly in countries with 60Hz like USA, Canada, Corea, Taiwan, some parts of Japan, etc. It will be running too fast!! About Denver Vintage Deluxe. I operate EFFICIENTLY and GUARANTEE my items like that of a large store. I run my shop of out a 1000 sq foot basement warehouse in the heart of Denver. Watch it and wait for PRICE to DROP….. I NEVER leave my buyers disappointed– My GREAT reputation is IMPORTANT TO ME. Any issues will be dealt with promptly. I operate with a CUSTOMERS ALWAY RIGHT mentality and it has worked out great for me! This is fine example of this great looking ZENITH COBRA MATIC R566 Record Player/Radio. It is in impressive overall condition– but it not quite perfect (2 issues to point out). 1-There is a crack in the bakelite on the back panel (see last 2 pictures). The crack will never be noticed once you have this placed on a table or cabinet- trust me. It does not affect the structural integrity of the device at all. 2- It will need a new needle– The one on it is destroyed/worn out. Comes with 6 (six) 45 records (sorry no attachment for this one). NO other flaws to point out. It looks amazing– one of the nicer ones I have ever unearthed! IT actually sounds great when picking up radio stations– I listened to it for few minutes.. Picked up some local college station playing bass-heavy electronic music– I was impressed! All the knobs turn. All buttons and levers work. The interior of the device is SUPER CLEAN– NO RUST– It only looks a few years old under the hold. NO other cracks or flaws in the bakelite– It really does look amazing! Power cable and all electrical are not at all crispy– NO need to rewire. Please understand that this vintage electronic device was engineered to be serviced and have parts replaced… It may need tubes, to have capacitors replaced, detailed cleaning, etc… Just don’t expect absolute perfection here… I operate with a CUSTOMERS AWAYS RIGHT POLICY and it has worked out great for me and my buyers… Im confident this will satisfy the most demanding of collector! This listing will not be around for long… I aggressively cut prices on items like this till the item sells at a fair price for both of us. It is CLEAN, COMPLETE and looks great! Colorado’s dry air and mild climate have this aging nicely. NO rattling or loose pieces. NO rust, dust or oxidation. NO evidence of being dropped or moved around a lot. I do NOT deliver damaged goods. I use quality packing material to ensure it safe arrival. Your satisfaction is GUARANTEED. I never leave my buyers disappointed–NEVER. These qualities are reflected in my price. Are you near Denver CO 80218? I will of course pass this savings on to you if you come by and pick it up. This is a beautifully preserved example of this Philco Radio/Phonograph. This one was tucked away inside a box, wrapped in a towel in a cool, dark, dry finished basement for decades! Possibly the best possible storage conditions for old electronics. The easily rates 9.5/10 in cosmetic condition. This is NOT a restoration piece it is 100% original. Trust me– You will be impressed at first glance. This is probably the cleanest pre-1950′s radio I have ever listed. The knobs all work perfectly. The dial lights up beautifully. I briefly tested it and it is HUMMING—- so I quickly unplugged it to prevent any damage. Im guessing it may need to be recapped or a tube replaced. I did not attempt any repairs or further diagnoses. The interior is so clean, only a light layer of dust is on the chassis/tubes. It looks to have never been opened up. This will be a rewarding restoration project to get this back to 100% functionality. I will price it out to sell within a few days of listing. This offering is for a vintage german tube radio and turntable combination. Model 1963 – 68. Circuit diagram and description. This Braun Stereo-Combination is very nice to look at. The video and the pictures shows the good condition. The design with its clear lines was already trendsetting in the late fifties. Braun his time was far ahead. The design was already trendsetting in the late fifties. Radios from other manufacturers were still in furniture in the so-called “Gelsenkirchen Baroque”. For these reasons, Braun-Radios were mainly bought by the avantgarde, for example, by doctors, lawyers, architects or higher officials. Some models of the house Braun located in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The housing is made of wood. This combination has some special features. The combination consists radio, record player and speaker. The radio and turntable are visible protected by an acrylic cover. The radio has a clear and natural sound. The reception area on FM is from 87 to 104. The turntable is designed for playback of vinyl records. The speeds may be adjusted to 16, 33 and 45 rpm. At the end of the music, the motor switches sometimes not off. For the technically interested readers some details. ECH81, EF89, EABC80, EL84. Loudspeaker: 1 Isophon Broadband. Wave bands: Medium Wave-Broadcast, Short Wave, Long Wave, FM. Power: AC 110 – 220Volt. Dimensions: 22.8 x 9.6 x 11.4 inch, (580 x 244 x 290 mm). Net weight: 24 lb, 3.7 oz (11kg). The radio has the typical design of Hans Gugelot, he designed 1955 the Music cabinet Phonosuper SK4, consisting of a wooden cabinet made of maple and is fitted with a tube radio chassis, a record player and broadband speaker. The last model of the series, this offered Phonosuper SK55, a combination with the radio chassis RC 32 and the turntable P2. It just fits into any living room. This radio is pleasent and certainly is an eye-catcher. The housing is made of metal, the side parts are made of wood and the cover. Made of acrylic glass. The cabinet and the cover have signs of wear and minor scratches. I cleaned the chassis as well as the housing very carefully, but traces of age and use can be seen. Because of their age many electronic components are subject to deterioration and wear. For theses reasons I have these parts replaced with high-quality, new components. Please note, this analog radio-phono combination is more than fifty years old. A comparison with digital combinations of today are not possible. All have been carefully restored and works very well. After all, it is nearly sixty years old. However, I would point out that the combination, perhaps sometime in the future, may have an error. But even in this case a solution is possible. Attached are the service manuals and schematics, so a good technician can perform possible repairs. Still, if you have any questions about this wonderful device, please contact me. The radio does not have built-in antennas. An FM antenna is included. Please note this is a Europaen model, FM works up to 104MHz (almost up to 105MHz). I´m using a check-list with many points for all work which has to be done in an old tube-radio. The furniture was cleaned and polished, but I get his old patina. The finish is original, certainly has the crazing in the finish that is so common to these radios, but it is still shiny and attractive. The original bottom panel is also in place. Please look to the pictures carefully. Traces of use the radio shows make it a beautiful antique. This beauty radio with it’s lovely furniture, dial glass and furniture must not be damaged. I will package this radio personally to make sure it is done correctly. This is a used radio from my collection and it is offered by private. Usual signs of use are not listed separately and are no cause for complaint. The combination has a very high weight. That’s why I send the radio in two packages. In the first package are the radio, the record player and the speakers. The second package is the base and the glass plate. Assembling is very simple. Your questions will be answered professionally. This offering is for a vintage german tube radio and turntable combination. Model 1960 – 61. Unfortunately, the sound qualities in this videos are inadequate and maybe the videos will not be shown in all countries. For this reason I have made several videos. This Braun Radio-Phono-Combination PKG 5-81 is very nice to look at. The video and the pictures shows the good condition. Today, this model can be found only rarely. This radio-phono combination was produced according to my knowledge, in a quantity of only 500 pieces. The design with its clear lines was already trendsetting in the late fifties. The PKG 5-81 just fits into any living room. The combination looks very elegant with its honey-colored wood surface. This radio is pleasent and certainly is an eye-catcher. Braun his time was far ahead. The radio has the typical design of Hans Gugelot, he designed 1955 the first Music cabinet Phonosuper SK4, consisting of a wooden cabinet made of maple and is fitted with a tube radio chassis, a record player and broadband speaker. These combinations are very rare these days to find and mostly owned by collectors from Braun-equipment. The housing is made of wood, as well as the pedestal. This combination has some special features. The two-piece stereo combination consists of the active radio part and a pedestal. In the upper unit radio, record player and speakers are built. The turntable is visible protected by a sliding glass panel. The wooden pedestal can be disassembled. Due to it´s weight, the radio combination is delivered in two packages. These analogous technology can not be compared with today’s analogous or. Please note the technical equipment was developed about sixty years ago and do not expect a high-end device. The housing is made out of a combination of wood and glass. It has some special features, it consists radio, record player and speaker. The combination provides the sound these Braun radios are known for. The radio does have built-in antennas. Please note this is a Europaen model. FM works up to 100MHz (almost up to 102MHz). The turntable is designed for Stereo-playback of vinyl records. The amplifier tubes are 2x EL84, output power per channel is 6 W. For stereo playback of analogous records an additional external 5 Ohm speaker must be connected. The speeds of turntable may be adjusted to 16, 33, 45 and 78 rpm. The stylus is not original. To play records at 78rpm this stylus is less suitable. At the end of the record, the motor switches (sometimes not) off. The cabinet and the glass cover have signs of wear. I cleaned the chassis as well as the housing very carefully. Because of their age many electronic components are subject to deterioration and wear. For theses reasons I have these parts replaced with high-quality, new components as shown in the photos of the inside of the unit. For the technically interested readers some details. ECH81, EF89, EBF89, EM84, ECC83, ECC83, EL84, EL84. Loudspeaker 2: Isophon Tweeter and Isophon Broadband. Wave bands: Medium Wave-Broadcast, Short wave, Long Wave, FM. Power: Switchable to AC 110 – 220Volt. Material: Wooden Case with pedestal. Dimensions: 37.2 x 25.6 x 14.4 inch, (945 x 650 x 365 mm). Net weight: 58 lb, 9.4 oz (26,6kg). All have been carefully restored and works well, as the YouTube-Videos show. However, I would point out that the combination, perhaps sometime in the future, may have an error. But even in this case a solution is possible. Attached are the service manuals/schematics, so a good technician can perform possible repairs. Still, if you have any questions about this wonderful device, please contact me. A few words about me. I’m radio and television master of the “old school”. The training in Germany will be made dual. This is of great advantage. It means the trainee is formed parallel in the company and at school. The company provides practical knowledge and the school teaches the theoretical fundamentals. After three and a half years there is a final exam in theory and practice. By the master exam is possible to open his own business and young people to train. My training in the craft began in 1967 as the tube technology was at its peak. Over time I have repaired several thousand devices expertly. All offered radios are in my collection for decades. Now I reduce my collection and offering some special pieces here. I will gladly answer your questions about tube radios. I´m using a check-list with many points for all work which has to be done in an old tube-radio. The finish is original, certainly has the crazing in the finish that is so common to these radios, but it is still shiny and attractive. The original bottom panel is also in place. Please look to the pictures carefully. Traces of use the radio shows make it a beautiful antique. This beauty radio with it’s lovely furniture, dial glass and speaker grille must not be damaged. I will package this radio personally to make sure it is done correctly. My packaging meets the requirements of the German Post / DHL. To prevent future damage in transit, I revised the packaging as shown on the pictures. Braun, some interesting facts. The company Max Braun oHG was founded in 1921 by the engineer Max Braun in Frankfurt. 1923 constructed Max Brown his first radio and produced for the expanding radio industry tube socket and accessories. The great success encouraged him to move already two years later in a new factory building. There, the production of an amplifier for the sound of large events began. At the end of the decade, Brown took over the production of radio receivers in license by Carl Sevecke. With the beginning of 1933 the development and production of self-developed radio began. These were the models Mozart, Edel-Super and Super W4, and the production of the Volksempfänger. The first predecessor of SK55 was music combination Phono-Super 637GW. At 1936, the first portable radios were designed and manufactured. Due to the war years the company Braun had to take over the production of armaments. In 1944 the Frankfurt factories were destroyed by air raids. The production facilities were built after the war. In addition to other equipment there began the production of the first dry shaver Model 50S. After the sudden death of Max Braun 1951 (he was only 61 years old) took his sons Artur and Erwin Braun company. Erwin Braun formed the appearance of the company completely around. He changed the face in the company and unified the product range. A fundamentally new was the thought to establish a department for design. Here new products should be developed, which should be distinguished by a different appearance from the crowd of other manufacturers. It emerged in teamwork most products and designs. Very farsighted was also collaborating with the School of Design in Ulm, Germany, here the foundations were laid for the world-famous Braun design. Important names for product design were beside Fritz Eichler, also Hans Gugelot, Wilhelm Wagenfeld, Herbert Hirche and Dieter Rams. Early pioneering products in the radio range are the small tube radio SK 1 and the radio-phonograph combination series “PK-G”. Reactions to the straightforward style, which was characterized by its clear forms, could not be greater. Some loved the Braun design, others despised him. It was especially the elite who was enthusiastic about the design and was in accordance with purchasing power.
