RCA Victor vintage tube radio tuning eye Art Deco 87T

This RCA Victor radio, model 87T, from the late 1930′s is in beautiful working condition. The chassis has been electronically restored and it is working very well with excellent sound quality and crisp, room filling sound. The bright green tuning eye works exactly like it should, opening and closing as stations are being fine tuned. A rarity on this radio is the properly working and non damaged band indicator flag located on the bottom of the dial. The flag displays the band that you are listening to – broadcast, medium, or short. These are usually found non working due to a broken mounting bracket. The reason why so many have become broken is due to over tightening the set screw that locks the bracket to the tuning shaft. When this happens the cast aluminum bracket breaks apart rendering the band indicator flag useless. If you have patience you can still hear some transmission on both the medium and short wave bands, especially late at night. Speaking of late at night check out that gorgeous lit up dial, with it’s green tuning eye front and center, it’s almost like the fourth of July right there in your living room! The cabinet is solid and it is in great condition. The top of the cabinet has been beautifully refinished. I believe the finish on the front and sides of the cabinet is original. The cabinet does have a few nicks and blemishes here and there but nothing too distracting. The only flaw to the cabinet that needs to be mentioned is the repaired lower grill bar. The repair was done very well and it is not very noticeable, but the repair is there. The is also a small dent on the top of the plastic {tenite} dial bezel. The bezel is solid and it has no cracks. This 87T is a very desirable and rare radio that is always in demand by collectors, so don’t miss your chance, nice ones don’t come up for sale often! . INCREADIBLY BEAUTIFUL SILVERTONE RADIO MODEL 4660 IN THE ART DECO FORM FROM 1937. THE CONDITION OF THE CABINET IS WONDERFULL! IF YOU VALUE ORIGINAL FINISH CABINETS, THAN THIS ONE IS FOR YOU. OF COURSE THERE ARE A FEW MINOR BLEMISHES HERE AND THERE, HOW COULD THERE NOT BE , THIS SILVERTONE IS OVER 80 YEARS OLD. NOTHING AT ALL REALLY TO MENTION THOUGH. THE GRILL CLOTH IS ORIGINAL WITH NO DAMAGE. THE ELECTRONICS HAVE BEEN RESTORED AND THE RADIO PLAYS VERY WELL WITH LOUD, CRISP, CLEAR SOUND QUALITY. THIS SILVERTONE HAS ONE OF THE BEST DIALS IN RADIO, LIGHTING BRIGHTLY WITH TWO BULBS. WHERE IN THE WORLD IS JAVA? ! THE ONLY FAULT THAT I SHOULD MENTION TO YOU IS THAT ALTHOUGH THE TUNING EYE IS BRIGHT, IT DOES NOT OPEN AND SHUT AS PROMINENTLY AS SOME OTHER TUNING EYES THAT I HAVE SEEN. Vintage Wilcox Gay Am/sw Tube Radio Receiver Rare Teledial Tuning Knob Art Deco

This tube radio features a sought after tuning dial that mimics the style and function of a rotary telephone dialer from older telephone sets – the teledial. This radio also features Art Deco design of the cabinet, popular of the time period and its original power cord. The wood is in excellent condition on this cabinet with no serious flaws such as splitting or warping. Despite some light minor scuffing on the edges, the veneer is in great shape! There are some light punctures in the speaker fabric. The tuning dial and knobs do function and move freely, however the teledial does slip when tuning stations. When plugged in and switched on, this radio plays intermittently with the speaker cutting in and out. It is being listed AS-IS. This item won’t last long because of its rarity, make it yours today! VTG (1937) Philco 38-7 SW & Broadcast Tube Radio Receiver with Cone-Centric Tuning

This set featured “cone-centric automatic tuning”! The original AC power cord is old & brittle and it will need to be replaced, so I have not tested this radio. I have not tested any of the tubes either. This set looks very nice, as you can see from the many pictures. I love the bullet-style radios from this era! Please be sure to preview all of the pictures so that you can determine the condition for yourself. All of the dials appear to be working as they should be. The interior/chassis looks pretty clean. The cabinet is nice and solid and the original finish looks good. There are some blemishes like you might expect on a piece from this era. The radio had been in storage for many years so I’m sure that it could use a good/thorough cleaning.
