This came from an estate sale, and is supposed to work. The only testing we could do is plug it in. No actual testing was done, we have no speakers or other equipment to test with. We did find out that the unit turns on, lights up, gets warm, tubes turn red and glow. It appears to have original PILOT EL34 tubes in place. Overall condition is very good to excellent appearance wise. The knobs turn, switches switch ok with indents. This is a heavy unit. Weighs in at about 21 pounds. Were replaced, the radio has a new magic eye em80, the chassis were cleaned, all individual parts were cleaned, the wooden cabinet was cleaned and polished, all mechanical parts were cleaned + polished and oiled, contacts were. Refreshed, technically checked, perfect working, etc. Blaupunkt riviera 2440 tube radio model from 1957/58. The radio is in perfect working order. The cabinet is in a very good. Only small scratches here and there. 4 alnico greencone speakers. It has a fantastic tube sound, very clear, warm and powerful. The 7 tubes and the 4 original alnico speakers are in perfect working. I think this is for a linear amplifier – signal tuner – but you ham radio people will know what this is when looking at pictures. Inside has one penta pl-5d22 tube. 1 traide f-22a filament transformer. Tuning capacitors – ef johnson & cardwell. Underneath is a b&w fc-15a. Has box front and sides – no top or back on this – and wear to the finish on the box cabinet. Measures 19″ x 14″(front panel) x 13 deep. These vintage dynaco products are known for their very warm tube sound and outstanding quality. It is in good vintage condition and looks very nice. The faceplate has some areas of wear. The volume knob will not stay on the stem, it needs to be replaced or repaired. The tuner powers up and tubes illuminate but i have not done any further testing.
