I picked this up from a man who rebuilt these tube radios. New parts have been put in when needed. New AC power cord has been installed on this radio. Please see pictures for condition details. Vintage Zenith Transoceanic Wave Magnet Model L600 Tube Radio from the 1950′s in good condition for age. The broadcast band receives channels and sounds clear and loud. The other bands seem to tune but I believe that I’m out of range to test thoroughly. The tone switches appear to be working fine. The front door hinges are broken so it comes off completely when you open it (I think that can be repaired). Looking in the back it doesn’t appear that this has ever been serviced but I’m not sure. My guess is that this radio needs to be restored to some extent. Overall it’s in pretty good shape. Vintage Zenith B600L B-600-L transoceanic restored multiband short wave radio

There might be a mistake. I ad nothing extra.. This is for a Fantastic Zenith 1950s radio. In the world of transoceanics the 600 series are some of the most sought after and the brown coehide B-600-L is 1 of the most desirable and hard to come by of the 600 series. They are also historically significant as they are not only the last tube powered transoceanics but also the last tube radio’s produced in the united states. Here we have 1 that has been professionally gone over by an electronics guy. He said he replaced all the electrolytic and paper capacitors and any transistors that were out of tolerance and I believe there were some other things he said he did with it that I don’t quite remember at the moment. There are a couple of little suction cup things with snaps on them that are in the back of the radio(not pictured). Antenna pops right up like it should and plays and sounds really great. Radio stations come in crisp and clear. Didn’t try the ham statioons as I live in the city and I’m surrounded by 3 and 4 story apt bldgings and have never been able to get any short wave stations and I’m going back 15 years and quite a few radio’s. Cosmetically not bad at although I’ll mostly leave that up to pics. A few nicks here and there to the leather but nothing gross or major. Might benefit from a buffing with a leather cleaning/staining type product. Measures : at its highest. Probably about 300 to 400 pieces of vintage electronics. I generally have a variety of older electronics listed. I like to pack some of my electronics using hard packing/insulation styrofoam. It sometimes results in little foam balls in the box and on the item. Check out my other items. Be sure to add me to your favorites list. Rare Vintage Zenith R-520/URR Military Version Transoceanic

This is a very nice example of the super rare military version of the H500 Transoceanic line. The dial lite works as well as the various bands. Broadcast is clear with lots of volume. Shortwave bands vary in selectivity and volume. Was able to listen to all the bands except the weather bands. Case covering is tight with some light uneven areas in the back lid. Antenna has the correct tip and antenna pulls up with out kinks. Issues known are some written letters lightly marked on the top… May not show in pictures since they are light. I also believe there are supposed to be some clips to hold spare fuse and/or tubes inside the back lid… On the back side of the tan plastic antenna plate in the lid are some scuffed spots on the corners. The aluminum identification tag is a reproduction of the original. If you live near Dayton, Ohio and would like to personally check it out and/or test drive it just give me a shout to set up appointment. Excellent used condition Zenith Super Trans-oceanic Portable Radio. I have tested this as far as receiving one channel and that’s it. The radio antenna fully extends and is not broken. The spring mechanism works for the antenna as well for releasing from the housing. This has the 110V – 220V add on which is generally rare to find as it was for use when in other countries. Included is a vintage head set which is untested. You will receive everything shown in the pictures. Overall this is a great unit with a great condition housing.
