Hard to find American Bosch Model 450 “Around the Globe” tombstone tube radio that is a good candidate for restoration. Unit has been partially restored, with new capacitors installed throughout, but the radio does not function – no sound at all. Cosmetically, the finish on the radio is all original and has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax. There is some veneer damage – cracks and minor chips and the grill is missing a small piece. The layer of veneer covering the grill is missing as well. The grill cloth is in good condition with a minor tear and all of the knobs turn smoothly and properly, but dial indicator is sluggish. The power cord is in excellent condition. Radio presents well and the contrasting birds eye maple and mahogany veneers really make this radio stand out. Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered.
