Basic radio functions tested and works. Needs some attention to the trim-one piece broken on bottom and some discoloration on other parts of trim. Volume button feels like it’s loose or stripped-still moves volume up and down. Inputs on rear side of radio not tested. Please look at all pictures and ask any questions about the radio. The Vintage Telefunken Jubilate 5161W tube radio from the 1950s or 60s is a rare find for collectors of vintage audio equipment. Made in West Germany, this radio features the renowned Telefunken brand and comes from the Jubilate product line. Known for its high-quality sound and design, this vintage radio is sure to be a valuable addition to any audio enthusiast’s collection.
It does work, but has a loud buzzing sound when it first powers up until it warms up a bit then gets softer as the audio starts to play. It is able to tune stations and overall is in very good shape. The buttons switch between bands with no issues and the bass and treble adjustments work as well. There is some cosmetic blemishes but no major issues that I see. You get the exact item in the pictures. Overall size is 18.5″ x 13″ x 8.
This is a 1953 model R231 Telefunken tube radio. The lights work, all the switches work, the knobs work, and the plug works. As seen in the photos, the antenna needs repair and there is minor cracking in the plastic knobs, but still functional. Also, minor wear on the wooden surface. Make offer thank you.
Picked this up from an estate liquidation. Turns on and works. I only tested the FM stations. See video for sound. No idea when the tubes were put in or how much shelf life they have left. Happy to answer any questions you may have.
