This transmitter is in fair cosmetic condition. There aren’t many scratches, but it’s been repainted. Even the faceplate has been victim to some poor attempt to paint it. Inside, it’s clearly been modified as there are several newer capacitors and a relay installed. I have no idea what the guy was trying to do. This’ll make a great project or parts unit! This equipment came from the estate of a ham operator and has been tucked away in a storage unit for approximately 15 years. We’ve made the decision to sell this older equipment 100% as-is and untested. There are a few reasons for this, but it essentially comes down to the fact that they almost always need some level of service and it’s simply not cost effective to pay our technician to spend time going through them. It may or may not need components replaced (caps, resistors, tubes, etc), controls cleaned/lubricated, alignment, and so on. Believed to be made in the early 60′s, this beautiful tube radio measures 17.5″ x 11.5″ x 8 deep with built-in dual speakers and antenna. This radio is in great condition, the front panel is in excellent condition and the cabinet is structurally sound with. No pulls or tears to t.
