Antique Vintage RCA Victor 5Q55 RC-477D AM Superheterodyne Tube Radio Bakelite

For sale is this vintage RCA Victor radio. The radio tube lights up when plugged in but I do not hear any sound. It is in good condition for its age. There are no chips, cracks or breaks in the plastic. I will be listing a number of other radios/cbs and test equipment over the next few weeks so be sure to check out my other listings.

Item: RARE VTG “ALL-STAR” Shortwave DC Superheterodyne RCA Licensed for Radio Amateur Experimental & Broadcast Reception LARGE WOODEN TABLETOP TUBE RADIO. Case is in amazing shape for its age, 2 noteable scratches on left side of the case and some very minor scratches on the top of the case (see photos). The tuner knob moves smoothly through the whole range, the on/off knob clicks nicely and moves smoothly. The band selector and other knob also feel good.

Vintage Tube Radio RCA Victor 56X3 Superheterodyne Wood 1945 Works Tabletop. Dimensions are 14.5″ wide x 9″ high x 8 deep. The tuning dial needs some work, the tuning knob turns the dial but it catches halfway across and won’t go farther. There are a few faint scratches on the lower front between the knobs on front, and on left side, see photos. Some modifications have been made to it before we acquired it, see the switch added to the antenna on the back, and the power cord has been replaced. The dial light works.
