The radio was tested and is working. Small radio with plastic front in a sunburst design. The bottom left circle lights up, grab knob to tune. The front plastic has mild cosmetic issues. Interior of the radio could be made of some hazardous materials I dont know about, and cords. Vintage Emerson Mini Tube AM Radio 707B Sunburst (1952) RESTORED

While diminutive in size, its attractive sunburst front is a real eye catcher. Add to that the unusual gray plaskon color, and you have quite the conversation piece. With five tubes, the sound is bright and clear with good sensitivity. The cabinet was cleaned and polished. The dial face and knobs are in excellent condition. The power indicator light shines nicely in a darkened room. The cabinet has a few very minor scuffs and there is a tiny crack on the right side while facing the radio that is difficult to discern, even in the photos. Electronically, the chassis was restored, cleaned and serviced, with all paper and electrolytic capacitors replaced. Tubes and resistors were replaced as needed. All controls and contacts were detail cleaned and lubricated. Wiring and other components were replaced as needed. The radio was aligned, peaked and tuned for optimal reception and quality of sound using the internal antenna. Small, cute and unique, this gem of a radio will fit just about anywhere. And, now that this 66 year old is restored, it should easily last another 66 years! The radio belonged to my grandmother and I can remember her listening to “Dialing for Dollars” on a local Baltimore radio station when we would visit her during the mid-late 50s, hoping they would call her because she always knew the “count and the amount” (don’t believe they ever did). Cosmetically there are some minor spots/scuff marks on one side of the case and a few minor spots on the dial (might be removable), but given its age it is in pretty good shape–no chips or cracks in the exterior case. Someone who knows what he’s doing could probably easily get it working again. It measures approximately 5″x5″x6 1/2. Sticker with the tube diagram is still on the bottom of the radio. As far as I know all parts are original, including the electrical cord and vacuum tubes (all tubes Emerson branded). Jackson-Bell Sunburst Art Deco Model 60. For sale nice quite radio in great visual condition. Someone already replaced tubes, they glow red when power up. However I could not receive any radio stations. It may require some electronic repair, not sure. During the test, it only generated some radio noise as I turned the frequency dial. Left and right dial are working but producing sometimes static sound. Outside radio case has only few nicks on the wood finish otherwise wood finish is nice restored?
