The receiver was manufactured in proven tube technology. New and ground breaking, but at the same time also the foreseeable end of tube technology was the use of transistors in equalizer and amplifier. Four powerful transistors (ad149) in a push-pull circuit bring about 15w output power per channel. Telefunken made the radio opus 5650 mx for the us market. Line voltage setting for 125v and 220vac. Through the careful technical and optical restoration, it gives an authentic impression of radio technology that time. In order to achieve the optimal functions i have the radio extensively restored. Because of their age especially capacitors change their values and thus degrade the reception and reproduction characteristics. These components were therefore replaced. The tubes have been tested and have very good results. The housing is in a very good condition, there are only very small age-appropriate traces of use.
