A great vintage’Stewart Warner’ radio… Very nice dark brown bakelike case in good condition. The radio measures 13″ long by 8″ deep by 13 high. Check the photos as they are part of the description.
Offered here is a beautiful antique Stewart Warner Magic Dial tube radio, likely dating from the 1930s to 1950s. 17 ¾” W x 11 ½” H x 9 ½ D. Condition: This radio is untested due to a frayed power cord, which is visibly deteriorated in multiple places. Because of that, it has not been plugged in for safety reasons. Components: You can see several internal components and tubes through the back. One visible tube is a Sylvania 6F6G, marked with D9M, and has what appears to be its original paper label – consistent with the period. Back Tag: A slightly bent metal tag on the back reads Genuine Stewart Warner Craft Built Cabinet. Knobs: All four original front knobs are present, which is rare for a radio of this era. Overall: This is a striking display piece in its original, unrestored state, and would make an excellent restoration project for a collector or vintage electronics enthusiast. Please review all photos for detailed condition and specifics. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
Up for sale from a collectors estate I have this Vintage Tube Radio Stewart Warner model 9152-A Deco Works. Please view pictures provided for additional and to determine the condition of the item. It does work but doesn’t sound smooth. Not sure if it’s because I don’t have good reception where I tested it or it’s just how it sounds. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will answer them asap.

Offered for your consideration is this wonderful little compact, super collectible Stewart Warner, model # R-514 – a very Deco tube radio manufactured in 1946. This radio is known as the Reverse Bullet. Almost all bullet radios have the bullet curve on the right, but this one is on the left making it very rare and very tough to find. The dial and numbers are clean and clear. All of the original wax paper capacitors have been replaced. The radio brings in a lot of stations for its size. The body has been coated with very high quality automotive product; the cord has been replaced with a polarized plug. Also featuring: nice deco body styling, louvered bakelite grill and it has its original knobs; and the off/on/volume and tuner both work smoothly. The clam shell back is a good reproduction. The measurements are: 10″ across, 6.5″ high and 5.5 wide. This radio will continue to give years of good service. Every radio I sell has been thoroughly serviced – tubes tested, components checked and then the unit is lubricated and cleaned inside and out. The work performed can be seen in the pictures of the chassis and/or found in the radio description.
The chassis is very clean with no evidence of rust or corrosion. The power cord is in good condition, but is not original. The finish on the radio is all original and has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax and presents quite well. The cabinet is marked “Craft Built” on the rear panel, which is usually not present. Grill cloths, which are on the two sides are in good condition, but the one on the left is frayed (See photo). All of the knobs turn smoothly and properly and the dial indicator functions properly as well. Great looking radio to add to your collection. Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered.
This vintage radio from the 1930s is a rare find for collectors. The Porto Baradio, with its stunning Art Deco Bakelite case, is a testament to the quality and craftsmanship of American-made radios from that era. The BC tube radio is perfect for display or use and comes from a well-known brand, Stewart Warner. Made in the United States, this radio is an excellent addition to any collection of vintage electronics, and it is sure to impress both seasoned collectors and newcomers alike. End handles are crack and damage, dry.
