Hi, this was taken out of a Kuba counsel stereo that was in my neighbors attic. There was no power cord so we couldn’t test it. Vintage SABA Villingen 300 Automatic Stereo 11 Tube Radio West German MCM. This stereo is from 1961/62 and for its age is in great cosmetic condition with the exception of some surface scratches and spots on the top. It seems to work as far as the sound and lights go but I can’t seem to figure out how to change the station. Also, the buttons have some issues with staying in place when you press them down and the automatic tuner doesn’t function properly from what I can tell. With all of that being said, the stereo may need some work to get it functioning the way it was intended to. See pictures and video for details.
This unit is in very nice physical and working condition. As seen in pictures, this unit shows signs of wear consistent with age. As seen in video, this item powers on and functions as it is supposed to. I do not have any information on the last time this item was serviced. Although the radio is in working order now, it is advised that you have this item checked out by a professional.
The model is a 15HF1 and was made in the USA. This is a unit that was originally in an Admiral Console. The radio is used and does have some wear from previous use and old age. I was not able to fully test the radio, but when I plug it in, it seems that all the tubes light up and glow. The radio is very clean including the chrome. On offer is a vintage tube radio made by Grundig. The back plate shows this model to be a type 4570U Stereo radio. The radio has been tested and does function. A radio station was picked up and sound did play. There may be some fine tuning required as it did not change stations well and the volume was fairly low.
