At the end of the decade, Brown took over the production of radio receivers in license by Carl Sevecke. With the beginning of 1933 the development and production of self-developed radio began. High-quality reception characteristics, a powerful amplifier and four outstanding speakers mounted in a noble high-quality shiny wooden cabinet. What more do you want? A significant development is the automatic tuning. A quick tap on the keys in the middle and the scanning will start. If a strong station is found, then stops the automatic. The transmitter is then adjusted precisely. Please note that the automatic scan was developed in 1953. At that time there were fewer FM stations. The performance of the transmitter was lower than today. Therefore, it is possible that the automatic search does not always exact. In this case, it is useful if the automatic is turned off. You will find some interesting data to Saba at the end of the offer. The Meersburg Automatic 125 Stereo is a real gem. The radio is in excellent condition. It seems to me that radio would just come out of the factory. I have rarely seen such neat device. Extremely hard to find the original manual. The diagram is also very well preserved. The Meersburg was handled very carefully. Through the careful technical and optical restoration, it gives an authentic impression of radio technology that time. Vintage German Tube Radio PHILIPS SATURN 511 STEREO produced 1961 2 Speakers

With this radio I want to give you great pleasure into your living room. The radio is in a very good condition and well maintained. It gives the impression that it was seldom used. A total of 8 tubes provide the best performance. The housing has a beautiful surface with a natural patina. The design corresponds to the taste of the sixties, then the scandinavien style was coming up in Germany. The following photos show a lot of detail, please note reflections on the surface by furnishing. Unfortunately, the sound quality in this video are inadequate. The radio sounds much better! And maybe the video will not be shown in all countries. For the technically interested readers some details. Tubes 5: ECC85, ECH81, EBF89, ECL86, EM84. Power: AC 110 – 220Volt. Loudspeaker: 2 speaker, Ø 8.3 inch. 6 x 10 x 10.2 inch (660 x 255 x 260 mm). Net weight: 19 lb 13.2 oz (9kg). While this radio is attractive and certainly is an eye-catcher, it’s real strength is the chassis. Clean chassis, and in amazing performer. I restored the radio very carefully. The chassis has been cleaned and lubed carefully, tar, electrolytic capacitors and all the necessary components have been replaced. Up to the present time are radio coveted collector’s items. It should be noted that the then technology can not be compared with today’s technology of receivers. Noise, cracking generated by light switches, engines, etc. Can affect the reception. But the friends of the old equipment will not interfere. They delight in the harmonious, warm and natural sound of the radio. Within fifty years, radios have evolved and are now almost entirely digital, but the ears hear still analog. All have been carefully restored. Only if the radio meets my quality standards, and these are very high, then I offer it. Minor flaws on grounds of age are possible. However, the general features are given. For example, sometimes potentiometers can rustle something, or switch can crack when switching when turning. With all the care I can give no promise that the radio can fail. After all, it is nearly sixty years old. But even in this case a solution is possible. Attached are the original service manuals and schematics. You can always contact me then I’ll be happy to help you. The FM provides the amazing thrilling sound these radio are known for. Nevertheless, for serious listening, an external antenna will provide amazing radioreception. Please note this is a Europaen model. Be sure to attach a connector, as it is used in your country. FM works up to 104MHz (almost up to 106MHz). A few words about me. I’m radio and television master of the “old school”. The training in Germany will be made dual. This is of great advantage. It means the trainee is formed parallel in the company and at school. The company provides practical knowledge and the school teaches the theoretical fundamentals. After three and a half years there is a final exam in theory and practice. By the master exam is possible to open his own business and young people to train. My training in the craft began in 1967 as the tube technology was at its peak. Over time I have repaired several thousand devices expertly. All offered radios are in my collection for decades. Now I reduce my collection and offering some special pieces here. I will gladly answer your questions about tube radios. I´m using a check-list with approx. 80 points for all work which has to be done in an old tube-radio. The dial glass is beautiful, cleaned and polished. And I did very much more necessary work. Original speakers all in place and sound great. Shines the brass, but I get his old patina. The furniture was cleaned and polished. The finish is original, certainly has the crazing in the finish that is so common to these radios, but it is still shiny and attractive. The lower original panel is also in place. Please look to the pictures carefully. Because of the time of use it has some scratches. But even these traces of use the radio shows make it a beautiful antique. This beauty radio with it’s lovely furniture, dial glass and speaker grille must not be damaged. I will package this radio personally to make sure it is done correctly. My packing is overkill, see the pictures and my feedback. This is a used radio from my collection and it is offered by private. Usual signs of use are not listed separately and are no cause for complaint. Looking at the pictures you can see reflections from the room. There are items that are reflected on the surface of the housing. Your questions will be answered professionally. This offering is for a german tube radio. In the range of the model year 1958, the Operette 8 was located in the higher class. It was a typical radio for living room or office. For cost reasons, a basic chassis was developed. This chassis has been installed in many models and equipped with various features. Important was the FM reception, great emphasis was laid. A magic eye for precise tuning was installed. I restored the chassis as well as the housing very carefully. The six tube chassis has been thoroughly cleaned. The fabric of the speaker panel is original. Tar, electrolytic capacitors, magic eye tube EM80 and lamp have been replaced. For the technically interested readers some details.
