HALSON TOMBSTONE RADIO FOR SALE. MODEL — MOST LIKELY FROM 1934/ 35 / 36 — LOOKS TO BE PART OF THE HALSON “50″ SERIES. THIS RADIO LOOKS VERY MUCH LIKE THE HALSON 50S. THIS HALSON RADIO IS COMPLETE. ALL FIVE TUBES ARE IN THE CHASSIS. WHEN PLUGGED IN THE RADIO PRODUCES SOUND AND THE TUBES LIGHT. BUT THERE IS NO STATION SIGNALS. THE TUNING KNOB TURNS THE TUNING DIAL AND MOVES THE TUNING CAPACITOR WITH EASE. SHELL IN GOOD CONDITION EXCEPT FOR TWO VENEER FLAKES WHICH CAN BE SEEN IN THE LAST TWO GALLERY PHOTOS. INTERESTING TO NOTE THAT THIS TOMBSTONE WAS SET UP TO ACCEPT A RECORD PLAYER. SEE THE JACKS ON THE BACKSIDE. SIZE: 15″ x 11″ x 9. CONDITION: NON-WORKING RADIO IN GENERALLY GOOD PHYSICAL CONDITION. We found this beautiful radio at an estate sale. It is a genuine Westinghouse vintage radio, not a reproduction. We were not able to tune in a station, however the unit lights up, volume control works, push buttons works, and there is static indicating the audio circuits are working. The cabinet has obviously been restored from the original. Still, it is not perfect but looks awesome anyway (see photos). The electronics appear mostly original to our untrained eyes. The unit is approximately 15.5″ x 9″ x 12.5 and weighs about 18 pounds. We are not experts in vintage radios, so our knowledge of this unit is limited. Missing the back piece. Some light scratches, aged dust. I didn’t play around with it much just turned it on to see if it worked to post it. Needs a good cleaning in the back (lots of aged dust).
