1941 Vintage General Electric J-64 Shortwave Tube Radio Works? Some? Veneer Off
vintage

It lights up it works. I got a radio station vaguely because I live a long ways from any stations. I figure there is some veneer missing on the top and on the side. I took pictures of a tube lit up and the front while it was on with the lights. Not sure if you can get a station in your area but this is really awesome on the front. It has eastern hemisphere, Rome, Tokyo, Prague, London, Paris, Berlin, New York, Pittsburgh, and many others. It’s says short, wave one and short wave two and then broadcast. It measures approximately 18 1/2 long 9 1/4 deep and 10 1/4 tall. The buttons on the knobs are bake a light. Also, on the right side it has megacycles and kilo cycles. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Some damage to the center, a crack on each side and a either a knot in the wood or damage there, see photos. Some damage to the Right side art deco piece at the top side. Cabinet has a couple of paint spots in white that should come off. When I plugged it in the lighted dial came on an I got a clear station, when I tried to go back to it couldn’t get it, then got another station and same thing happened. Tries to get stations, volume wasn’t too high when I got a station. Got some whistles when going to the 300 -400 stations. Be sure to check out all 24 pictures. Flashlight spots show some of the features that are damaged ect.

Vtg THE FISHER CA-40 mono Tube Amplifier 1950′s WORKING with some AMAZING TUBES
fisher

For your consideration is a very nice THE FISHER CA-40 mono tube power amplifier in good condition and working. Beautiful piece of tube artistry. Powers up as it should, nice display. Both filter switches have a dedicated light when turned on in red. The bass/treble display bar is interesting; the first picture has added bass and treble. The tube’s are impressive. Three Mullard Blackburn 1 2AX7′s MC1 B6F long plate (17mm) square getter. One THE FISHER 12AU7, unusual round/almost round getter. Four AMPEREX Holland EL84 (6BQ5) D getter X6H date code. Two Sylvania USA 6BW4 rectifiers halo getter KDA date code. ALL TUBES tested good and better. 12AX7′s strong at about 90%; nearly identical and well balanced. EL84′s exceptional near NOS 95%+; nearly identical. The 12AU7 is 85%. The 6BW4 rectifiers are solid at 80%. I stand by my testing; the tubes are nice. I will sell the tubes separately. The AC cord is good. The two filter switch levers, rumble and noise, do not have their caps/buttons. The unit powers up as it should and passes signal; all functions are working. Clear with no hum and all controls move nicely. Due to it being a vintage tube amplifier it should be gone over and serviced by a professional prior to regular daily use. The amp is working but a go-over is recommended. The amp measures roughly 12 3/4″ wide, 10″ deep (front to back) including the knobs, 5 1/2 tall, and weighs just over 21 lbs. Any questions please ask and I will be very helpful. Thanks very much for stopping by! Drake R-4C Vintage Tube Ham Radio Receiver (needs some work) SN 25413

This R-4C “works”, but needs some attention to get it in top-top shape. It receives a signal, but the pots/switches are extremely scratchy and need to be cleaned with contact cleaner. The chassis is very dirty and there’s a good amount of dust inside. The faceplate looks good, however there’s a good-sized dent on the back (see photos). This will make a great restoration piece. Also, please note that this receiver originally had the noise-blanker installed. This has been removed for another project, but you’ll need to make up a jumper for the socket, else the receiver won’t work at all. This item will be packaged using our InstaPak foam-in-bag system, ensuring the utmost protection! Bags filled with a chemical mixture expand around your item and harden to form a protective, yet forgiving, foam barrier. IMPORTANT: You will only receive what is photographed.
