1936 antique tube radio and it is super pretty. This is the Westinghouse model WR 209 and is 15.5″ long x 9.5″ tall x 7.5 deep. The cabinet is in beautiful condition and shows off its abundant colors, wood grains, different design. The oval shaped dial bezel is in great condition. The dial face pops with beautiful colors when powered up. The corners are rounded. I picked this up from a local estate sale where the guy restored and serviced these tube radios. VINTAGE ZENITH 5810 ART DECO SHORTWAVE WOOD CASE TUBE RADIO / WORKS r12. Please note that i’m unsure of the model number but the chassic is 5810. This looks like it was partially restored as the tubes inside looks newer, the screws on the back are not matching and are loose and the cord is newer…. But the radio does work and it has a slight humming in the background that is consistant. The Treble knob on the front is missing. The overall size is 17″ across by 8.5″ tall. Be sure to check out my other listings if you are into antique radios and equipment!! His house must have looked like a museum!! Sadly – electronics items of this vintage are outside my realm of experience so many of the items I have no clue on how to test them… The ones that I can test out – I’ll note more details above. Some of the radios are HUGE!!! Some of the radio listings will have an “R” and a number in the title above (ie: R2). This is for my reference only as I numbered some of them to keep them straight when pulling from inventory. My goal is your satisfaction. The only exception is with the country of Italy. If the item is electronics related – note that the power in the United States is 110/120v and most international locations are 220/230v which means you’ll need a proper voltage converter. Please view pictures carefully. What you see is exactly what you see. Item is super old and shows signs of wear that can clearly be seen in pictures. The worst of it tho is a broken handle on top. Item has been plugged in and tested I was able to tune into numerous channels and listen to things. All knobs seem to work.
