Here’s a beautiful RCA Model 28T Tube Radio! Picks up Broadcast, Police, Aircraft, and Amateur bands. Excellent condition, with just a little light veneer lifting at one bottom corner, no big deal. Has all it’s tubes, radio hums when turned on, so will need to be recapped. A nice electronic project, and you don’t need to refinish the cabinet! This rare find measures 16.75 x 8.5 x 9 tall. The wood shows some signs of age and wear, especially at the corners. The radio works when turned on and I was able to listen to several stations clearly. I was not able to test the tv or victrola functions as I do not know how to set those up. Beautiful early 1950s short wave radio! Please take a look at the included photos and let me know if you have questions. Marked on the front of the case Zenith Trans Oceanic. Power cord in good condition. Also included red cord for antenna?? Measures 17″ long by 7 1/2″ wide by 11 high. Looks to be in very good condition… Some signs of wear from years of use but a gorgeous, solid piece! I turned it on and was able to tune to a few stations. Sounds fine and both tuner and volume knobs function as they should. Antenna extends and appears fully intact (I did not attempt to extend fully, but see photo of extended antenna for how high I went with it). VINTAGE HALLICRAFTERRS SKY BUDDY TUBE HAM SHORT WAVE RADIO RECEIVER ANTIQUE. You are looking at a vintage Sky Buddy radio. I live in a very small SW Minnesota town in which I do not get reception very often. I plugged it in and put the toggle to rec and I got static and at some points when turning the dial a slight whistling sound. I saw lights in the tubes. There are two wires without an end which I have pictured. This needs a good cleaning. PLEASE LOOK CAREFULLY AT ALL 12 PICTURES AS PART OF THE DESCRIPTION AND TO DETERMINE THE ACTUAL CONDITION.
