Product description: This is a vintage vacuum tube radio manufactured by Sharp (Sharp/KM1 type), which is in fully working condition and has been serviced. The exterior is painted with oil stain and varnish in a similar color to bring out the wood grain. The exterior has some signs of use due to age, but it has a back cover, 4 dial knobs, and a speaker cloth (cloth). The equipment is in good condition, having been renewed and reupholstered. The vacuum tubes used are a total of 4 vintage ST tubes: UZ-57 / UY-56 / UX-12A / KX-12F, and the speakers are horseshoe type speakers (there are repair marks on the cone part from the time of acquisition). The dial knob is operated from the top of the front section as follows: “Power switch / Top: For main variable capacitor, Bottom: Radio & PU selection switch / For reproduction variable capacitor. Although there are some “difficulties”, all local broadcast stations in the medium and high frequency bands can be received in good condition, and the PU function through the newly added external input cord is also in good condition (using the external input PU) When operating the variable capacitor, please set it so that there is no interference with the radio audio. / Perform oil maintenance on each rotating part of the variable capacitor, etc. And make it a fully working item. Vintage 1950′s mid century modern Continental M-500 portable battery operated radio with it’s original box. Radio looks great for it’s age, with some scuffs and scratches, mostly on the bottom edge. There are no chips or cracks and the grill is in great condition. The interior of the radio is very clean, with no rust or evidence of battery corrosion. All of the tubes are present. The box for the radio is in fair condition, missing it’s lid and discolored. Great looking radio to add to your collection. Do not hesitate to make an offer all will be considered.

This is a Hayakawa Denki Sharp vacuum tube radio PF-116 PAGODA. It was exported to the U. About 70 years ago. 1940′s Antique Radio. The design of this radio is so superb that it would be unthinkable today, such as the mother-of-pearl inlay decoration. It may have value as an interior decoration. Please note that it takes about 5 seconds to hear the sound after turning it on, and it can receive, but there is a slight buzzing sound when adjusting the volume. Radio does work, I did have to repair the cord. It does need to be cleaned there are some paint speckles on the top but I was worried about damaging the paint so I was unwilling to attempt to clean it. Both volume and tuning knob are missing.
