This old radio came from my great aunt’s house. She took great care of everything. It’s in fine condition for its age. And it does work. I was able to bring in a station from here near Houston Texas, though lots of static! When it plugs in , the light turns on. The radio itself weighs 7 lbs. I will pack it carefully! Item is in excellent, all original condition. This radio belonged to a silent key and was in good, working order. Item is complete and has all tubes present. Item does show some very small signs of use/wear. All original knobs do function, including tuning knob which moves dial correctly. Please note, this item was also serviced by ROCKWELL INTERNATIONAL as the original label is still attached on the back of the cabinet. There are no cracks in dial and no cracks in DB meter glass. This is a vintage Art Deco style design from the 1930′s. According to the label on the back the Serial Number is 861163 and Chassis Number 101445. It has the following known issues. It does not work. The veneer on the front top of the case is de-laminating. The original speaker grill on the left end has been replaced with non-matching fabric. There are three holes drilled through the label in the back. Someone appears to have added a switch to the back-left corner. Refer to photos for current condition and other issues. Also, google images search turns up images of beautifully-restored 4569 radios. Happy to answer any questions. FROM A COLLECTORS ESTATE. AT FIRST WHEN I SAW IT I THOUGHT IT WAS IN SUCH NICE SHAPE IT MUST BE SOME SORT OF REPLICA RADIO. THEN I STARTED TO STUDY AND REALIZED IT HAD OLD SCHOOL TUBES, 5 OF THEM , GLOBE STYLE. THEY ARE 2 AMPLITRON 201-A AND 2 CUNNINGHAM CX 301-A AND 1 RADIOTRON X-201-A. THEY ALL LOOK GREAT, EXCEPT ONE AMPLITRON SEEMS TO HAVE LOOSE BASE. HAS A SERIAL NUMBER TAG ON INSIDE CORNER #30. HAS LOOSE WIRES IN BACK, UNIT IS UNTESTED. ON FRONT HAS SPEAKER JACK AND PHONES JACK, HAS 3 BIG TUNING KNOBS, HAS VOLUME AND CLARITY CONTROL. MEASURES ABOUT 19.5 INCHES WIDE. THE FRONT IS GREAT, THE FLASH MADE FRONT LOOK BIT ODD IN SOME PICTURES, BUT FRONT IS GREAT A STRONG 9.5 FOR AGE. JUST SOME DUST IN GROOVES OF KNOBS. VERY NICE, I WOULD RATE A 9 OUT OF 10 COSMETICALLY. SMALL MARK ON LID. INSIDE IS CLEAN AND NICE AND ALL THE TUNING MOVE AND WORK AND LOOK GREAT. LID HAS A PROP UP THAT WORKS. SEE ALL PICTURES, PRETTY AMAZING FOR AGE. TINY BIT OF DUST. I REALLY COULD NOT FIND ANY INFO ON THIS, LITTLE I FOUND SEEMS LIKE THESE MAY HAVE BEEN MADE AROUND 1924? IF MORE A TUNER OR RECEIVER, HAS NO SPEAKER. THAT BEING SAID I DO NOT THINK YOU WILL FIND A NICER ONE. ALSO, PLEASE SEE MY FEEDBACKS, I WANT YOU TO BE HAPPY AND TRY NOT TO OVER TALK MY ITEMS.
