This has been in my family for years, a real wood cabinet, gorgeous vintage Saba tube radio. These are highly collectable, and were considered the’cadillac’ of german radio design. This one is a german import, so everything is in german and you can switch the radio down to 110v, which has already been done so you can just use a plug adapter to convert the EU plug with this. The sound this radio produces is great, coming from 2 6x9s in front, and two more speakers on the side. Controls are smooth, and well built. Works fine, powers up as seen in these photos and produces sound. Tests beyond that were not performed. The radio has some marks here and there on the cabinet, with no serious damage. Only problem seems to be volume knob on the right appears stuck (at full volume) and wouldn’t move down when we tested this unit so we have priced it lower. Vintage Tube Radio with Record Player. German tube radio, build 1960/61. In the famous SABA factory, Villingen, black forest. All tubes were checked and defective replaced. Critical capacitors, defective resistors and elkos were replaced. The chassis and housing were cleaned. All individual parts were cleaned, the wooden cabinet was cleaned and polished, all mechanical parts were cleaned and re-oiled, the turntable was re-oiled and cleaned and adjusted, all contacts were refreshed, technically checked, perfect working, etc. SABA Phonosuper 125 tube radio with record player model from 1960/61. The radio is in a perfect working order. It has a fantastic tube sound. The 5 tubes and the original speaker are in a perfect working condition. Tubes: ECC85, ECH81, EBF89, ECL82, EM84. The magic eye is new. Voltage regulator works from. It´s ready to plug in. If you are looking for a radio with a spectacular sound and a nice look this radio, it would be the right choice. Critical capacitors, defective elkos and resistors were replaced, also all engine capacitors. New bulbs, new magic eye, new power cord and plug. The chassis had been cleaned, all individual parts were cleaned, the wooden cabinet was cleaned and polished, all mechanical parts were cleaned and reoiled, all contacts were refreshed, technically checked, etc. The engine and fine tuning Automatic works perfectly! SABA Meersburg Automatic 8 tube radio model from 1957/58. It has a fantastic tube sound, very clear, warm and powerful. The 10 tubes and the original speakers are in perfect working condition. The magic eye EM34 is middle-good working. Tubes: EC92, EC92, ECH81, EF89, EM34, EBF89, EABC80, EF86, EL84, ECL80. Voltage regulator works from. It´s ready to plug in.
