Plastic body has some wear And minor scratches. It does turn on and does get reception and sound, but some of the knobs seem to not always work. Needs someone who knows what they are doing to bring the best out of it. Original stickers are wear/peeling etc. See photos for the external condition. Vintage Bendix 526C Green Swirl Catalin Tube Radio for Parts or Restoration. Because sometimes it takes a bit to get it going. Theres a crack on front. Left side has a part cracked off as well. The green color is not as brilliant as it should be(Looks brownish with spots). Some one that knows how too clean and polish Bakelite may be able to bring back the bright green color. I do not know how too repair this radio so thought I would pass it along too someone that could restore it. Please look at all of the pictures for the condition of the radio. In a sturdy box. Radio does have the original knobs; the screening around speaker on front does not have any rips or tears, and speaker looks to be in good condition. I was 17 years old at that time. Heath was famous for providing kits so that you could learn some basic electronics during assembly, and once completed, would have a pride in ownership that you have created a working device with your hands that could transmit several hundred miles. This particular DX-60B came from an amateur radio operator that is thinning out his holdings of electronic gear. You can see that the meter displays some yellowing and there are a few marks on the unit overall. The previous owner installed beautiful front panel knobs to dress up this transmitter. We could list the features, attributes, and specs for this transmitter, but there is plenty of information on the internet and we believe that it may be easiest for you to do a little research. The DX-60B comes with a printed copy of the assembly manual and a CD with the manual in PDF for your reference.
