Tuner As found see pictures cord is rough but plugged in anyway, tuner dial sting is off in back, I could turn from back, hums and acts like it would tune in channel but I couldn’t get anything, pretty clean case and all buttons seem to work.

Vintage MOTOROLA 49L11Q Portable Suitcase Tube Radio “FOR RESTORATION PROJECT”. Still in great shape, Bakelite, portable suitcase tube radio. When I first started to plug it in. I saw spark at the plug. So no further testing was performed on item. And I did not plug in the battery. I didn’t see any point being how old it is. Radio powers up, but I could detect a capacitor odor and shut the unit down immediately, so it will need some work to get it functioning. Chassis is very clean with no evidence of rust or corrosion. All of the knobs turn smoothly and properly and the dial indicator works properly as well. The cloth power cord is in poor condition, taped in spots and will need to be replaced. The finish on the radio is all original and has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax and presents quite well, but the top is showing wear, as well as a small veneer chip on the left side (see photos). The grill cloth is in excellent condition. Also included is an original instruction sheet for this model. With a little bit of restoration work, this radio will be a fine addition to your collection. Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered.
