Visually, the bakelite housing shows a few scratches, on the top, as seen in pics. Housing has no apparent cracks or chips and has been polished with the Novus 3-part polish system. The grills are beautiful, intact and show no apparent damage. Badges are in Near Mint condition. Dial and clock windows show a light yellowing from age, but with no scratches or cracks. Radio works pretty well after warmed up (tube radio). Does have some static between stations. Clock does not work. Back panel also in Excellent condition as is the cord. Radio measures about 13″w x 7-1/2″ h x 8 d. Was jamming while taking pictures. Please see all pictures as they are the best description. Hard to find in this condition. From my private collection. Two RCA 6 tube table radios and a Bonus Toy! The RCA 15X is from 1940 before the start of world war II, The RCA 56X2 is from 1946 after the end of the world war. If radios could talk……… Both these radios have been properly maintained and serviced. Both radios present strong loud volume – NO STATIC when adjusting. Both radios include a working tone knob for treble and bass. Both Bakelite cabinets are perfect, NO CRACKS, DINGS, DEFECTS or other cosmetic anomalies inconsistent with age. I displayed them together as part of my ebony and ivory collection. (see photo) I collect and display many radios in both dark and light. I like the decorative contrast. BONUS RCA Toy truck / bank it was part of my display. Please review the photo’s carefully as they are an important part of the description. I can attest that I listened to lots of radio stations as I was posting this offer for sale. Please look at my other radios for sale and my 100% positive reviews.

It does work, but has a loud buzzing sound when it first powers up until it warms up a bit then gets softer as the audio starts to play. It is able to tune stations and overall is in very good shape. The buttons switch between bands with no issues and the bass and treble adjustments work as well. There is some cosmetic blemishes but no major issues that I see. You get the exact item in the pictures. Overall size is 18.5″ x 13″ x 8.
