The RC-2 was designed by Ed Miller, who later was the founder of Sherwood, and Sid Smith, who later became the chief engineer at Marantz, in 1948. It was their first stand- alone Hi-Fi amplifier. They later produced the C400 and C500. The cosmetic condition of this listing is near new. The power transformer has been replaced by one of Hammonds best. All defective parts have been replaced and the amp is plug-and-play. This is the later version of the RC-2 made in 1950.
