Telefunken Operette 6 Tube Radio (Made in Western Germany). Known for its rich tone, illuminated tuning “magic eye, ” and elegant wood cabinet design. Authentic Telefunken Operette 6 Superheterodyne design. Made in Western Germany, FM system licensed by Armstrong. Original green tuning indicator (magic eye) lights and tracks signal strength. Warm, full sound with no noticeable distortion during testing. Vintage wood cabinet with gold trim and woven speaker grill. Inputs for phono and tape recorder, plus extension speaker jack. This radio powers on and works. The green “magic eye” tuning light operates properly, showing signal strength as designed. Sound quality is strong and clear, though not professionally tested or serviced. When adjusting the “high” setting, the faceplate may shift slightly. There are multiple cosmetic flaws including scratches, chips, and loose trim as shown in the photos. The exterior has been wiped down but could use additional cleaning for best presentation. Perfect for collectors of vintage electronics, mid-century décor enthusiasts, or anyone looking to add a working piece of audio history to their home.

All electrolytic capacitors were replaced as well as resistors that were not in specs. All tubes were tested, weak tubes were replaced, including the “Magic Eye” tube used for tuning. This radio has two internal antennas that give a great FM reception. For short wave stations an external antenna, not provided, is needed. This radio, as most German radios of this vintage, has a great sound and workmanship. Radio dimensions: 20x8x12.5 inches. Please let me know if you have any questions.

21 1/4″ long x 6 1/2″ deep x 8 high. Plastic case with faux woodgrain finish. Weighs 8 pounds 4 ounces. Everything has been tested, tone, volume, selection & tuning knobs all work. Sound is very good, in both speakers and antenna works, but sound is much clearer when antenna is added to. Comes from a smoke free home.

Vintage Airline 93BR-715A Tabletop Pushbutton AM/SW Radio For Restoration

Fresh from a local estate, this Airline Model 93BR-715A pushbutton tabletop radio is a good candidate for restoration. The radio powered up, but I could detect a distinct capacitor odor, so the unit will have to be recapped to get it functioning. The finish on the radio is all original and has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax. There is significant wear to the shellac on the top and the grill veneer is warped and broken in a few spots. The bottom of the radio is showing some separating of the plywood, most likely from moisture. The plastic dial bezel is broken at 3 of the corners and will need some work to get it properly affixed. Both knobs turn smoothly and properly and the wheel dials function properly as well. The push buttons are a bit sticky and will need attention. The grill cloth is in good condition, with no rips or holes. The power cord is a replacement. Despite the defects, the radio is quite worthy of a restoration. Do not hesitate to make an offer all will be considered.
