HALSON TOMBSTONE RADIO FOR SALE. MODEL — MOST LIKELY FROM 1934/ 35 / 36 — LOOKS TO BE PART OF THE HALSON “50″ SERIES. THIS RADIO LOOKS VERY MUCH LIKE THE HALSON 50S. THIS HALSON RADIO IS COMPLETE. ALL FIVE TUBES ARE IN THE CHASSIS. WHEN PLUGGED IN THE RADIO PRODUCES SOUND AND THE TUBES LIGHT. BUT THERE IS NO STATION SIGNALS. THE TUNING KNOB TURNS THE TUNING DIAL AND MOVES THE TUNING CAPACITOR WITH EASE. SHELL IN GOOD CONDITION EXCEPT FOR TWO VENEER FLAKES WHICH CAN BE SEEN IN THE LAST TWO GALLERY PHOTOS. INTERESTING TO NOTE THAT THIS TOMBSTONE WAS SET UP TO ACCEPT A RECORD PLAYER. SEE THE JACKS ON THE BACKSIDE. SIZE: 15″ x 11″ x 9. CONDITION: NON-WORKING RADIO IN GENERALLY GOOD PHYSICAL CONDITION. This is a vintage item, approx 70 years old, so please understand it will not work perfectly and may need maintenance or repair. Not all channels had reception (just static) which in my experience is normal for vintage radios. The backing on the radio is loose, the top fasteners were removed. I took photos the best I could have the inside through the small space provided. It has some wear as seen in photos. Overall, I believe this is a very nice radio and vintage piece. But that is my opinion, please examine the video and photos to form your own opinion.

This is a vintage Zenith portable tube radio, featuring the iconic Zenith styling, gold-accented dial, and the classic “The Royalty of Radio” emblem. The radio is housed in a textured black portable cabinet with carry handle and front latch-style door. Included with this radio is the original Zenith instruction manual, a scarce and highly desirable companion piece that significantly enhances collectability. This radio comes from a large private estate of a meticulous original owner with a long-term interest in radio equipment. Items from this estate were stored indoors, kept together with their accessories when possible, and preserved as part of a carefully maintained collection. The radio remains unrestored and unmodified, offered exactly as found. Untested (no power applied). Cabinet shows surface dust, dirt, scuffs, and age-related wear. Carry handle intact. Front door/lid present with latch. Dial glass intact with visible aging and haze. Both control knobs present. Internal components visible; no servicing attempted. Original instruction manual included. Manual shows heavy wear, creasing, and age, but remains intact and legible. This is a collector-grade project radio. Expect cleaning and servicing if functionality is desired. Radio secured to prevent internal movement. Instruction manual will be packed separately in protective sleeve.
