Great condition, no cracks or chips. Might have been repainted and if so they did an excellent job. Has a coca cola sticker on top. The front where the numbers are is clear plastic over the numbers. The cord has been worked on. It hums when turned on. Takes a few seconds to warm up. Measures, 12.5″ L x 8″ H x 7 W.

Vintage Fisher Research Laboratories RF-45 direction finder receiver, serial number 839, manufactured in Palo Alto, California. This tube-based unit was used in marine and aviation navigation applications during the 1940s-1950s. The set retains its original Kelvin & Wilfrid O. White illuminated pelorus compass, intact glass meter, and all control knobs. Tubes are present and sockets appear clean. Unit has not been powered or tested due to the absence of a compatible VDC power cable. Offered in as-found estate condition with light cosmetic wear and age patina.

This is a Sentinel Radio Model 345 Series A Vintage 1950s – Red – Bakelite? Body looks in good condition as well as interior. No cracks that I can see. Nice deep red color. I plugged in and turned on but couldn’t get any power. I don’t know if I needed another battery that connects to the inside wires?
